On 9-1-18 at approximately 11:30 a.m., a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Detention Facility for court ordered prints and was found to have active Gilpin County warrant.

On 9-1-18 at 2:41 p.m., two parties contacted a deputy working US Forest Service duty in the 1000 block of Missouri Gulch Road, unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, 80422, and reported that they found two dogs in the forest. Both dogs had tags and were returned to the owner. The owner had nine prior incidents similar to this one, so the owner was issued a summons.
On 9-1-18 at approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Main St. and Miners Mesa Rd., in Black Hawk, CO, for weaving. The driver was later arrested for suspicion of DUI.
On 9-2-18 a deputy found a damaged light pole in Central City. A report was taken.
On 9-2-18 a deputy heard a male calling for help on Lake Gulch Rd. The male party later pulled a small bag of methamphetamine out of his pocket and was arrested.
On 9-2-18 at approximately 11:51 p.m., deputies arrested a man for violation of a protection order. The violation occurred at the Dostal Casino.
On 9-3-18 a deputy attempted to locate a female party with an outstanding warrant off Missouri Gulch Rd. The female party attempted to flee upon being contacted by the deputy. The female party was later arrested for the warrant and possession of meth.
On 9-3-18 at approximately 2:24 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a cell phone theft at the Grand Z Casino. Upon arrival, deputies were told the suspect was no longer on the premises. Security footage was reviewed, and the suspect was identified. A report and a warrant were later completed.
On 9-4-18 at approximately 7:00 p.m., an M-1 hold was placed on a person scheduled to be released from the detention facility. The person was transferred to hospital for evaluation.
On 9-5-18 at approximately 9:00 a.m., a deputy was told that there was a subject in the courtroom that had an active warrant. He went to the courtroom and after the warrant was validated, he took the subject into custody, and booked her in the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-5-18 a deputy responded to a report of a theft at Annies in Central City. The suspect was later found, and the victim declined to pursue criminal charges.
On 9-5-18 a deputy contacted a male party inside a vehicle at the Grand Z parking garage. It was later determined he was the restrained party on a protection order, with stipulations that he wasnt allowed to be in possession of drugs or alcohol. He was in violation of the protection order and was arrested.
On 9-5-18 at approximately 7:13 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential address on the report of criminal mischief/vandalism. An investigation was completed. and a report was generated to document the incident.
On 9-5-18 at 7:20 p.m., a female was arrested at the Gilpin County Jail on an active warrant out of Jefferson County for contempt of court for failure to comply on a harassment charge.
On 9-6-18 a Gilpin County deputy stopped a pick-up truck on the Central City Pkwy. The truck had no visible registration. Investigation revealed the driver to be revoked as a Habitual Offender. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-6-18 a deputy responded to a neighborhood in Central City and took a report of a hit and run traffic accident.
On 9-6-18 at approximately 11:05 a.m., a male party came to the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office to turn himself in on a warrant. The warrant was for Failure to Comply on a Driving Under Restraint case with a bond of $250.00. He was processed in to the Gilpin County Detention Facility without incident.
On 9-7-18, a deputy stopped a vehicle associated with a party who does not have a valid drivers license. The driver had a warrant and did not possess a valid drivers license. The driver was arrested for the warrant.
On 9-7-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was later arrested for driving while under the influence of marijuana.
On 9-8-18 at approximately 12:14 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of Hwy 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County Colorado. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a warrant and was taken into custody. The driver was transported without incident to the Gilpin County Jail, booked on the warrant, and issued a summons for the traffic infractions.
On 9-8-18 a deputy responded to Nevadaville for a report of trespassing. It was considered a civil matter.
On 9-8-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid drivers license and was issued a summons.
On 9-8-18 a deputy responded to the area of the 1100 block of Columbine Campground Rd, on the report of a male party running in the woods in only his underwear and socks. Upon contacting the party, the deputy determined he was under the influence of numerous drugs and alcohol. The male party was unable to consume drugs or alcohol per a court order and was arrested. He was booked into the Gilpin Jail.
On 9-8-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. A male party in the vehicle was determined to have a felony warrant for his arrest. The male party was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and booked into Gilpin Jail.
On 9-8-18 Gilpin County deputies contacted a vehicle for a parking violation at Eureka St. and Main St. in the incorporated City of Central, at approximately 1:33 a.m. The vehicle was occupied by 2 juvenile females and an adult male. Open containers of alcohol were found inside the vehicle and the male party was arrested for Violation of a Protection Order. The male party was transported to the Gilpin County Jail and booked in without incident.
On 9-9-18 a deputy contacted parties in the Dostal Alley parking lot for suspicious activity. One of the parties left the scene and was later found trespassing on property. He was arrested and booked into the jail.
On 9-9-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at MM 22.0. The driver was issued and released on a summons for DUI.
On 9-10-18 at approximately 10:23 a.m., a deputy investigated a hit and run accident that occurred in the Century Parking garage. The suspect was apprehended.
On 9-10-18 at approximately Noon, a deputy working their assigned shift at the Gilpin County Jail arrested one adult male and had him booked on a warrant without incident.
On 9-11-18 at approximately 3:34 a.m., deputies responded to 20542 Highway 119, Rollinsville, CO, 80474 on the report of a disturbance. After an investigation, a man was arrested for violation of a protection order.
On 9-11-18 at approximately 10:28 a.m., an investigator took a report of the theft of doors from a motor vehicle being stored in a mid-county business. An investigation was opened.
On 9-11-18 at approximately 12:23 a.m., a deputy responded to a residence in east-county and observed persistently barking dogs. The owner was contacted and given a verbal warning.
On 9-11-18 at approximately 1:15 p.m., a deputy responded to the Gilpin County Court Room for a female with a warrant. A female was brought into the jail and booked without incident.
On 9-11-18 approximately 1:46 p.m., a deputy responded to the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office for a report of a male party wanting to turn themselves in on a warrant. A deputy responded and confirmed the warrant out of Gilpin County. The male party was escorted into the Gilpin County Jail and booked in without incident.
On 9-11-18 an investigator took a report of fuel theft from a job site in western county.
On 9-12-18 at approximately 5:20 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 300 Block of Gregory St., located in the incorporated City of Central, regarding a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the deputy contacted the suspicious person, who was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The party was arrested without incident and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A case report was later completed.
On 9-12-18 a deputy took a report of a possible criminal mischief. After the investigation was concluded, the deputy was unable to determine what caused the damage.
On 9-12-18 at approximately 8:52 p.m., a deputy recognized a male party in the Dostal Alley casino who had active arrest warrants. The same male party was later placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants.
On 9-12-18 at approximately 9:10 a.m., a deputy took a report of a suspicious craigslist posting that may involve stolen property from the Masonic Cemetery located at 227 Nevadaville Road, Central City, CO, 80427.
On 9-13-18 at approximately 1:13 p.m., a deputy contacted a vehicle on the shoulder of the road near MM 6.5 of the Central City Pkwy, Central City, CO, 80427 to check on the welfare of its occupants. A party was arrested for driving under the influence as a result of this welfare check.
On 9-13-18 a deputy responded to a residence in Black Hawk for a reported dog issue. Two dogs were later identified as being at large and the owner of the dogs was later issued a summons.
On 9-14-18 a deputy contacted a party in Rollinsville who had a warrant. The party was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-14-18 at approximately 10:45 a.m., a male inmate currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility was released to Lutheran Hospital, via Gilpin County Medic 1, on a Mental Health Hold.
On 9-14-18 at approximately 10:57 a.m., a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office, to turn herself in on an active Gilpin County Warrant.
On 9-14-18 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a deputy responded to mile marker 11.5 Highway 119 for a shooting complaint. A male party associated with the shooting complaint was later placed under arrest for violation of a protection order.
On 9-14-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville. The driver was issued a penalty assessment for operating an unregistered vehicle.
On 9-15-18 a deputy responded to a dog at large call. The dog was returned to the owner, who was cited for dog at large and failure to comply with dog licensing provisions.
On 9-15-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested and the driver was issued a summons for no insurance and an unregistered vehicle.
On 9-15-18 at approximately 6:48 p.m., a deputy responded to a possible trespass report on Rollins Pass Road. The suspects were later located on Tolland road and were issued summonses.
On 9-16-18 a deputy was going to stop a vehicle for speeding. The driver of the vehicle pulled into a parking lot and quickly exited the vehicle before the deputy could make contact. The deputy later located the party and he had two warrants. The male party was taken into custody.
On 9-16-18 at approximately 3:09 p.m., deputies responded to 5648 Highway 46, Black Hawk, CO, 80422 on the report of a disturbance. After an investigation, a man was arrested for harassment.
On 9-16-18 a deputy responded to Main St. in Central City, for a welfare check. The welfare check was later determined to be a domestic violence incident. A male party was arrested for DUI and harassment.
On 9-16-18 Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to approximately MM 21 of Hwy 119 in Rollinsville, CO, 80474 on the report of an unattended vehicle parked perpendicular to the highway and protruding into the lane of travel. Upon arrival, deputies located and confirmed the vehicle was a hazard. The vehicle did not have any license plates and had last been registered in Nevada approximately a decade ago. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
On 9-17-18 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a deputy working his assigned shift at the Gilpin County Jail located in unincorporated Gilpin County, 2960 Dory Hill Rd., Black Hawk, CO, 80422, arrested one adult female and had her booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant without incident.
On 9-17-18 an inmate was found to have an active warrant while beginning the release process. The warrant was confirmed, and the inmate was rebooked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-17-18 at approximately 3:30 p.m., it was found that an inmate that was in custody had two warrants out of Teller County. The inmate was booked in on those warrants without incident.
On 9-17-18 at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a party acting erratically in a roadway in the Missouri Lakes Filing 1 subdivision. The deputies contacted a male party who was later transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
On 9-17-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy and the driver was issued a penalty assessment for operating an unregistered vehicle.
On 9-17-18 a Gilpin deputy stopped a Subaru for not having any license plates. Investigation revealed the driver had a suspended drivers license for not paying her child support. The adult female driver was issued a summons and chose to walk home, which was nearby.
On 9-17-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.
On 9-17-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for no front license plate. The owner of the vehicle did not have a valid drivers license and was given a proof of service.
On 9-18-18 at approximately 12:50 p.m., law enforcement officers from the Gilpin and Clear Creek County Sheriffs Offices responded to an in-progress disturbance involving the discharge of a firearm. The victims were interviewed, and a suspect was taken into custody early the next day.
On 9-18-18 an individual who checked into court was found to have an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-18-18 a male party turned himself into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant he had for his arrest. The male party was arrested and processed into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-18-18 at 9:36 p.m., a party was stopped for driving the wrong way on Gregory Street, Central City CO 80427. Upon contact, the driver was found to have a suspended license. He was issued a summons.
On 9-19-18 an individual was found to have an active warrant. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-19-18 an individual checked into Gilpin County Court who was found to have an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-19-18 at approximately 11:21 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries, at the parking lot associated with 142 Lawrence St., located in the incorporated City of Central, CO, 80427. The driver of the vehicle responsible for the crash was issued a ticket and later, a case report was completed.
On 9-19-18 at approximately 7:40 p.m., a deputy was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Center and was informed by control that there was party in the lobby that had a warrant for her arrest and she was there to turn herself in.
On 9-20-18 at approximately 1:05 a.m., a deputy responded to a hotel and casino in Central City for a party that was trespassing. The party was issued a summons to appear in court.
On 9-20-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in Central City. A female party was arrested for a warrant, which was later determined not to be valid. The female party was then released.
On 9-20-18 at approximately 8:37 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were on patrol in unincorporated, Gilpin County, CO, 80427. Deputies performed a welfare check on a vehicle parked on the shoulder of Douglas Mountain Rd., near the intersection of Hwy 119. Upon contact with the driver, deputies noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view. The driver was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
On 9-21-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street in Central City. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, violation of a protection order, violation of bail bond conditions and driving on a revoked license. The driver was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-22-18 at 12:02 a.m., a deputy responded to a casino located in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City, CO, 80427 on a found drugs call. Upon arrival, the deputy collected suspected methamphetamine. No suspect was identified, and the drugs were booked for destruction at the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office.
On 9-22-18 at 12:26 a.m., deputies responded to a casino located in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City, CO, 80427 on the report of a theft. A report was taken.
On 9-22-18, at approximately 2:15 a.m., a Gilpin deputy responded to a shooting complaint in the national forest. Investigation revealed two adult males shooting on public lands in violation of the stage 1 fire ban. One of the males had a felony warrant out of Lakewood Police Department. That adult male was arrested on the warrant.
On 9-22-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle in the Big T lot for a cracked windshield. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid drivers license and was issued a summons.
On 9-22-18 at approximately 7:03 p.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on a male party in a vehicle, parked at the intersection of Lake Gulch Rd. and Virginia Canyon Rd. The male party was later placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and prohibited use of a weapon.
On 9-23-18 at approximately 1:00 p.m., a deputy took a report of a lost license plate. The license plate was lost somewhere near Minder Gulch Rd., in unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, 80422.
On 9-23-18, at approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Mountain Meadows Drive, in unincorporated Gilpin County, 80422 on the report of a disturbance. After an investigation, the accusations were determined to be unfounded.
On 9-23-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72 in Pinecliffe. The driver was arrested for possession of heroin, driving under the influence of a drug, possession of a deadly weapon while in possession of a drug and possession of a weapon while under the influence of a drug. The driver was booked into Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-24-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lawrence St. The driver was arrested for a warrant and issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.
On 9-24-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for an expired license plate. The driver did not have a valid drivers license and had an outstanding warrant.
On 9-24-18 at approximately 10:59 p.m., a deputy responded to 440 Powder Run Dr., Central City CO, 80427 on a report of littering. A report was taken.
On 9-24-18 at approximately 11:23 a.m., a deputy took a report via phone of two stolen bicycles. The theft occurred at the KOA camp grounds, located at 605 Lake Gulch Rd., Central City, CO, 80427.
On 9-24-18 at approximately 5:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Sheriffs Office lobby on a report of a stolen license plate. The deputy spoke with the reporting party and completed a report for the incident.
On 9-25-18 a deputy took a report of a counterfeit bill from the Century Casino. The suspect was not identified.
On 9-26-18 a deputy responded to 203 Eureka St. for a VIN inspection. Upon clearing the party, it showed a violation of a protection order. The party was placed in custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. The party was later released by providing paperwork that showed the protection order was dismissed.
On 9-25-18 at 4:17 p.m., a party came to the Sheriffs Office to report a motor vehicle theft and an investigation was opened.
On 9-25-18 a deputy contacted a male party in the 100 block of Evansview Dr. The party had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.
On 9-25-18 at approximately 5:40 p.m., a current inmate within the Gilpin County Detention Facility was discovered to have possession of dangerous contraband.
On 9-26-18 at approximately 5:25 p.m., a deputy responded to a campsite located on Tolland Road on the report of an illegal campfire. A male party associated with the illegal campfire was later identified and was issued a summons.
On 9-27-18 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of the Nederland Police Department as a cover car for a Nederland Police officer who was in contact with parties associated with a stolen vehicle. One of the parties was later arrested by the Nederland Police Officer.
On 9-27-18 a deputy observed a disturbance between a male and female party on south Highway 119. The male party was arrested for DUI and violation of a protection order.
On Friday 9-28-18 at approximately 5:50 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential address in Black Hawk where a report was taken in regard to stolen license plates from a Jeep.
On 9-29-18 at 1:39 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Plutus Dr., unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, 80422, on a disturbance in-progress. Investigation revealed that one party struck the other during an argument. A female was taken into custody and jailed on the charge.
On 9-29-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 12. The driver was issued a summons for speeding and possession of marijuana by an underage person.
On 9-29-18 at approximately 9:27 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Central City Parkway. A report was generated to document the incident.
On 9-30-18 at approximately 1:25 a.m., Gilpin County deputies performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of Gregory St. in Black Hawk, CO, 80422. The driver was suspected of DUI and was arrested. He was transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 9-30-18 at approximately 2:01 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino Parking Garage on a report of a stolen vehicle. A case report was completed.
On 9-30-18 a deputy contacted a party regarding a stolen cell phone. The party had also stolen a purse and ran from the deputy. The deputy was able to apprehend the suspect.
On 9-30-18 a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Lupine Place. The reporting party was under the influence of alcohol when he drove to meet the deputy. The reporting party was arrested for DUI and there was no evidence a suspicious person was in the area.
