Gilpin Elementary Music Concert Gilpin County Elementary School first through third grade students performed to an appreciative crowd for the first time since the pandemic. Gilpin Elementary students were bursting with excitement as they exuberantly sang classics and modern songs from Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land” to Pharrell Williams “Happy” from Despicable Me 2. Students really enjoyed showing their ability to create rhythmic ostinatos using instruments like shakers and sticks. PHOTO BY CURT HALSTED[/caption]
