On 10/1/23, at approximately 5:26 p.m., a deputy responded to two harassment calls at the 100 block of Conestoga Road in Black Hawk. All parties were talked to and it was found no crime was committed.
On 10/1/23, at approximately 11:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 532 Bear Mountain Road in Gilpin County in reference to possible poaching.
On 10/2/23, at approximately 10:41 a.m., a deputy made contact with a male subject turning himself in on a warrant. The male subject was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 10/3/23, at approximately 8:29 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 110 Foxtail Circle in reference to a fraud. The reporting party was contacted by phone and a report was taken.
On 10/3/23, at approximately 9:50 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s office lobby in reference to a found item. A report was completed.
On 10/3/23, a deputy took a call of theft from Base Camp for not paying for a campsite, the associated vehicle plate was cleared and was found to be stolen out of Texas. The vehicle was contacted by Colorado State Patrol and Black Hawk Police Department.
On 10/3/23, at approximately 5:01 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of 5000 Central City Parkway on a report of an intoxicated party who was trespassing. The party was arrested for an outstanding warrant, and a report was completed.
On 10/4/23, a deputy took a harassment report from a citizen.
On 10/5/23, at approximately 8:41 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Century Casino in reference to a medical call and found drugs. A report was completed.
On 10/5/23, at approximately 2:05 p.m., an individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
On 10/6/23, at approximately 1:13 a.m., Gilpin County deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle from within the 100 block of Leon Lane. A report was made.
On 10/6/23, at approximately 10:23 a.m., a deputy took a phone report regarding a vehicle trespass. The vehicle was parked near the 100 block of Stone.
On 10/6/23, at approximately 6:57 p.m., a deputy responded to a suspicious person in the 400 block of Morning Star Circle. The deputy searched the area and spoke to the reporting party and a neighbor. A report was taken.
On 10/6/23, at approximately 7:25 p.m., a deputy was patrolling and conducting traffic enforcement in the approximate location of mile marker 16 on Highway 119. The deputy observed a red pickup truck fail to come to a complete stop at the clearly posted and marked stop sign at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gap Road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop at approximately mile marker 17 of Highway 119.
On 10/7/23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a deputy contacted a person in a camper at the 300 block of Gregory Street. The camper was reported stolen. A suspect was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 10/8/23, at approximately 12:01 a.m., a deputy was patrolling the county in the area of mile marker 7 on Highway 119. The deputy witnessed traffic violations and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle eluded and the deputy did not pursue the vehicle. A while later an accident was found caused by the vehicle that eluded the deputy. The vehicle fled the scene of the accident prior to law enforcement arrival.
On 10/9/23, at approximately 9:46 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to take a phone report in reference to a theft that occurred at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
On 10/10/23, at approximately 12 p.m., a deputy responded to an address on Highway 46 in reference to a death investigation. A report was completed later.
On 10/10/23, at approximately 3:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 31 Wagon Wheel Trail in reference to criminal mischief and a report was taken.
On 10/11/23, at approximately 1:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Grand Z Casino in reference to a fraud and report was completed.
On 10/11/23, at approximately 6:23 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z Casino on a report of a theft from a vehicle. A report was completed.
On 10/12/23, at approximately 6:07 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft located at the Z-Stop Gas Station. A report was completed.
On 10/12/23, at approximately 9:51 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a burglary in progress located at 102 Raster Road. A report was completed.
On 10/13/23, at approximately 4:47 p.m., a deputy was sent to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a cold assault. A report was taken.
On 10/14/23, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to take a phone report of check fraud.
On 10/14/23, at approximately 6:06 p.m., a deputy took a phone report of lost property from the gaming district in Central City.
On 10/14/23, at approximately 4:55 p.m., a corporal was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detentions Center. They were instructed to complete a report for an inmate who was found to have an out of county warrant, this inmate`s history showed an active fugitive of justice warrant while having criminal history run before being booked in. This inmate was booked in on this out of county warrant without incident.
On 10/15/23, at approximately 12:41 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in progress occurring in the vicinity of the Century Casino. A report was taken.
On 10/15/23, at approximately 12:41 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at the Century Casino. The parties involved left the casino and were located a short time later by deputies. While parties were being cleared a male party came back with a warrant and was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 10/15/23, at approximately 10:06 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Conestoga Road on a suspicious incident. A report was taken.
On 10/16/23, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a deputy was performing assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. At that time, the deputy was informed of an individual in the lobby that had intended to turn himself in. This deputy, along with an on duty corporal, identified and confirmed the individual`s active warrants for Gilpin County. Due to sensory evidence, there was a concern for the individual to be too intoxicated for admittance into the jail and the individual agreed to a preliminary breath test (PBT) that concluded that the individual was in fact within parameters to be taken into custody and admitted into the jail safely. The individual was detained and booked into the jail on his active local warrant without incident.
On 10/16/23, at approximately 7:17 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the area of mile marker 5. After an investigation the driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
On 10/18/23, at approximately 11:52 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy conducted a certified vin inspection on a vehicle in Gilpin County.
On 10/18/23, at approximately 11:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched to mile marker 4 on Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol with a possible DUI.
On 10/19/23, at approximately 8:28 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Dragon Tiger Casino in reference to an alleged fraud. A report was completed.
On 10/19/23, at approximately 11:09 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy conducted a certified vin inspection on a vehicle in Gilpin County.
On 10/19/23, a deputy took possession of found property.
On 10/19/23, at approximately 3:04 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the approximate area of 5000 Central City Parkway in reference to an assault in progress. A report was completed later.
On 10/20/23, at approximately 8:40 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a possible violation of protection order in the 3000 block of Gamble Gulch.
On 10/20/23, at approximately 10:15 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy arrested a male party on a warrant.
On 10/20/23, a deputy responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant.
On 10/20/23, a deputy responded to a neighbor dispute.
On 10/20/23, at approximately 10:15 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy placed a male party under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 12:10 a.m., a deputy responded to the 200 block of Chalet Drive for a welfare check. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 9:51 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 2:12 a.m., a deputy responded to a bomb threat that was received at the Dostal Alley Casino. Deputies conducted a sweep of the casino and nothing suspicious was located.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 4:31 p.m., deputies responded to the Dostal Casino on a report of a potential shooting. A male party was talked to and a report was taken.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 8:06 p.m., deputies responded to unincorporated Gilpin County on a death investigation. No criminal activity was suspected. A report was completed.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 7:50 p.m., a deputy was approached by female party who reported a suspicious driving event that took place earlier in the evening. The deputy took the information and a report was made.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 8:34 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of Coyote Circle for a Motor Vehicle Accident. The deputy arrived on scene and maintained scene security till Colorado State Patrol arrived. CSP arrived and conducted an investigation and arrested the driver for DUI.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 9:39 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a wildlife issue located in the vicinity of the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 119. A report was taken.
On 10/21/23, at approximately 10:38 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in progress occurring in the 400 block of Badger Road in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 10/22/23, at approximately 1:48 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving. The driver was arrested for a DUI and released on a summons.
On 10/22/23, at approximately 3:57 a.m., a deputy booked property that was left in the Gilpin County Detention Facility into evidence for destruction.
On 10/23/23, at approximately 12:15 a.m., while at a casino check in the 100 block of Main Street a deputy was notified of a suspected counterfeit twenty-dollar bill. The bill was seized and a report was taken.
On 10/24/23, at approximately 6:24 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 119 in reference to a welfare check and an arrest was made.
On 10/24/23, at approximately 8:17 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 2960 Dory Hill Road in reference to a theft. A report was taken.
On 10/24/23, a deputy took a call regarding a theft of numerous items from vacant land. A report was made.
On 10/24/23, a resident contacted the sheriff's office to report a possible break in at an address in Gilpin County. A report was made.
On 10/25/23, deputies responded to 633 Karlann Drive in reference to an animal issue and a report was completed.
On 10/25/23, at approximately 2:11 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 149 Gregory Street in reference to a civil matter and a report was completed.
On 10/27/23, a deputy received notice that an inmate had an active warrant. The inmate was arrested on the warrant and processed into the facility on the warrant. A report was later completed.
On 10/28/23, at approximately 1:12 p.m., a deputy discovered an active warrant for a person experiencing incarceration in the Gilpin County Jail. The person was arrested for the warrant and a report was taken.
On 10/29/23, at approximately 10:34 p.m., a deputy responded to a motorist assist around the 100 block of Highway 119. After an investigation a male party was arrested.
On 10/31/23, at approximately 8:14 a.m., a deputy responded to 102 Main Street in reference to asuspicious party and a female party was arrested on an active warrant.
