On 8/6/16 at approximately 4:00 p.m. a female party arrived at the jail to turn herself in on a warrant. Deputies verified that the party had a warrant, took the party into custody and processed her into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 8/8/16 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation that occurred within Central City, Colorado. The driver was issued a summons and released.
On 8/2/16 at approximately 3:24 p.m. a Deputy took a report of trespassing. A case report was completed.
On 8/2/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and the passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a suspended license.
On 8/2/16 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation, the driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for DUI.
On 8/3/16 at approximately 6:05 p.m. a Deputy responded to a call of a stolen vehicle. A case report has been completed and the vehicle was entered into NCIC/CCIC as stolen.
On 8/4/16, at approximately 1:53 a.m. a female party turned themselves into the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office on a warrant. The female party was subsequently arrested and processed into the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office Detention Facility.
On 8/4/16 a Deputy responded to the 100 block of Eureka Street, in Central City for a motor vehicle accident
On 8/4/16 at approximately 11:50 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to an assault in progress. When deputies arrived they could not locate the caller. The caller was later found unconscious and not breathing in a wooded area. Deputies and fire fighters performed CPR until an ambulance arrived. The party was later conscious and alert when transported to the hospital by ambulance.
On 8/6/16 a Deputy was dispatched to a report of a campfire. Parties were contacted and issued a summons for violation of the fire restrictions
On 8/6/16 at approximately 11:40 p.m. a Deputy conducted a traffic stop. The deputy later learned the driver`s license had been denied for an unpaid ticket. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court
On 8/7/16 a Deputy responded to the Johnny Z`s Casino on the report of several 911 calls coming from the area.
On 8/7/16 a Deputy responded to a neighborhood (Spring Street) in Central City on a report of a verbal disturbance. The disturbance was between two former next door neighbors, and each adult told a different story of the events.
On 8/8/16 a Deputy made contact with a male party in the lobby of the Sheriff`s Office. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and processed into the jail without incident.
On 8/8/16 at or about 6:00 p.m. a Gilpin County inmate was processed into the Gilpin County Jail on an active Adams County Warrant.
On 8/9/16 at or about 1:26 p.m. a Gilpin County inmate was processed into the Gilpin County Jail on an active Weld County Warrant.
On 8/9/16 a Gilpin Deputy stopped a vehicle for a view obstruction/cracked windshield. It was discovered the Tennessee license plate was fictitious. The driver was cited and released.
On 8/9/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway and the driver was issued a summons for several traffic violations.
On 8/9/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and issued the driver a summons for several traffic violations.
On 8/9/16 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and later determined the driver was under the influence.
On Wednesday 8/10/16 at approximately 1:20 p.m. a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office Deputy received a complaint regarding an assault that occurred several days prior.
On 8/10/16 at approximately 8:15 p.m. a deputy took a report on a stolen vehicle. The case has been forwarded to the Investigations Division.
On 8/11/16 a Deputy contacted a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was found to have 2 active warrants. Driver was issued a summons for the traffic violation and was arrested on the warrants
On 8/11/16 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Gilpin County Sheriff`s Deputies assisted an Adams County Deputy in the Dory Lakes Subdivision with apprehending a fugitive. The male was located and transported to the Gilpin County Jail for processing.
On 8/11/16 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of suspicious parties walking in a residential area. Both parties were transported out of the area, one to Rollinsville and the other to Detox.
On 8/13/16 at approximately 8:40 p.m. a male party was arrested at the Gilpin County Detention Facility on a warrant for failure to appear on a Driving Under the Influence case issued by the Arvada Police Department. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.
On 8/12/16 a Deputy took a female party into custody for Felony Warrant.
On 8/12/16 at approximately 12:10 p.m. a Deputy recovered a stolen vehicle and license plate.
On 8/12/16 at approximately 9:45 p.m. a Deputy working in the jail discovered an inmate was attempting to make alcohol. This inmate was criminally charged with 1st degree introduction of contraband.
On 8/12/16 at approximately 10:25 p.m. a Deputy observed a campfire in violation of the Stage 1 Fire Restrictions enacted by the county on 7/10/16. The party responsible for the fire was issued a summons to appear in court.
On 8/13/16 at approximately 10:50 a.m. a female party turned herself in on an active warrant out of Gilpin County. The female had enough money to immediately bond herself out
On 8/13/16 an inmate posting bond from the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant out of Morgan County.
On 8/14/16 at 12:56 p.m. a party arrived at the Sheriff`s office to report a missing party. The reporting party was told that they needed to report the party as missing in the jurisdiction where the party lived and was last seen.
On 8/15/16 a deputy contacted an intoxicated party in the 500 block of Gregory Street. The party was later arrested on outstanding warrants and protection order violations
On 8/15/16 at or about 10:30 a.m. a Deputy was performing their duties at the Gilpin County Jail and performed a records check on an inmate. The inmate was found to have an active warrant. The Inmate was booked into the jail on the new warrant.
On 8/15/16 Deputies, Gilpin Ambulance and Timberline Fire responded to the area of Tolland Road, on the report of a medical issue.
On 8/16/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a summons for several traffic violations.
On 8/16/16 an inmate in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a warrant for their arrest out of Arapahoe County. The inmate was processed into the jail on that warrant without incident.
On 8/16/16 at approximately 10:02 p.m. a Deputy took a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident involving property damage only in the 5500 block of the Central City Parkway, Central City.
On 8/17/16 at approximately 2:45 p.m. a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was dispatched to a cold burglary.
On 8/17/16 a party was arrested in the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Lobby on a warrant returnable to Gilpin County. The party was processed into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.
On 8/16/16 an inmate at the Gilpin County Jail posted bond, and was transported to the hospital by Gilpin Ambulance on a Mental Health Hold.
On 8/18/16 at approximately 10:30 a.m. a male party was arrested at the Gilpin County Detention Facility on two warrants for failure to appear issued by the Denver Marshal`s Office. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident
On 8/18/16 at approximately 4:00 p.m. a female party who was detained on a failure to appear warrant issued by Gilpin County was investigated for suspicion of driving while ability impaired at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The female party was later released with a written warning for driving without a driver license.
On 8/19/16 A Deputy responded to a death scene, a report was taken.
On 8/20/16 a male party came to the Gilpin County Detention Facility to turn himself in on a Gilpin County warrant. The party was processed into the jail without incident.
On 8/19/16 a Gilpin Deputy responded to the Reserve Casino parking garage on a report of two people arguing. Investigation revealed that the two people were a married couple and the fight had become physical. The adult male was arrested for Harassment and Disorderly Conduct. The adult female was given a courtesy ride to a detox facility in Denver.
On 8/19/16 Deputies responded to a residential home within unincorporated Gilpin County on an attempt to locate a male subject with an active felony warrant. The subject was contacted and taken into custody for the warrant. The Subject was turned over to Boulder County SO without incident.
On 8/19/16 at approximately 11:50 p.m. a deputy responded to a report of a campfire in violation of Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. The deputy located the fire and issued a summons to the party responsible for the fire.
On 8/19/16 a Deputy responded to an aggressive dog call. A report was taken.
On 8/20/16 a Deputy responded to a shooting complaint.
On 8/20/16 a Deputy responded to the area of Missouri Gulch Road for a a welfare check.
On 8/20/16 at approximately 5:55 p.m. a Deputy conducted a traffic stop. It was later learned that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant. The driver was also issued a summons to appear in court for the traffic violations.
On 8/20/16 at approximately 6:22 p.m. a Deputy contacted a vehicle and after further investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI and transported to the Gilpin County Jail
On 8/16/16 a deputy took a phone report of a possible harassment.
On 8/21/16 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 8/21/16 at approximately 9:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 100 Block of Black Bear Trail, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, regarding a trespass. Upon arrival, the deputy contacted a party who was inside of the residence. The party did not have permission to be inside of the residence or on the property. The party was arrested for 1st Degree Criminal Trespass and was later booked into the Gilpin County Jail. Later, a report was completed.
On 8/21/16 a Deputy responded to approximately mile marker 4 on Highway 119 on the report of a male and a female arguing on the side of the road. It was reported that the male was trying to get the female in the car and the female was trying to flag people down. After further investigation, it was determined to have been physical and the male had fled the scene. An arrest warrant was completed and entered into CCIC / NCIC
On 8/22/16 a Deputy responded to mile marker 11 on Highway 119, on the report of a deer in the roadway, which needed to be put down.
On 8/22/16 at approximately 12:30 p.m. a party was being released from the Gilpin County Jail. A Deputy located an active warrant for this party. The party was booked into the jail without incident.
On 8/23/16 at Deputy conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a summons for several traffic violations
On 8/23/16 a deputy contacted a vehicle for a taillight and speeding violation. A summons was issued for other violations.
On 8/23/16 at approximately 12:30 p.m. the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office was notified by the Black Hawk Police Department that an inmate who was just transported to the jail from Jefferson County had a warrant issued by their agency. The inmate was checked for warrants through the NCIC/CCIC computer system and a warrant issued by the Black Hawk Police Department was found. The inmate was processed into the Gilpin County jail on the Gilpin county warrant, which the inmate was originally transported on, as well as the Black Hawk Municipal warrant which was issued earlier in the day without incident.
On 8/23/16 at approximately 9:45 p.m. Deputies with the GCSO, and officers from the BHPD, initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be occupied by a wanted party. Once stopped, the driver was arrested on a warrant and the passenger was issued a proof of service. Drug paraphernalia was found on the driver and he later participated in a drug influence evaluation at the county jail where he was booked in on the warrant and given a summons for a local charge.
On 8/24/16 a Deputy was attempting to locate a suspect and cleared a party with a warrant, who was arrested.
On 8/24/16 at approximately 10:15 a.m. A party arrived at the Gilpin County Courtroom with a warrant. A Deputy located two active warrants for this party. The party was booked into the jail without incident.
On 8/26/16 a Deputy contacted a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was found to have an active warrant and a summons was issued.
On 8/28/16 a Deputy responded to Karlann Drive, on the report of a criminal mischief.
On 8/28/16 at approximately 2:25 p.m. a male party’s drive’rs license was confiscated for being suspended due to insurance termination.
On 8/29/16 a female inmate posted her bond and was released from custody. She was then transported to Lutheran Hospital via ambulance.
On 8/29/16 at approximately 12:02 p.m. a party was being released from the Gilpin County Jail. At that time a Deputy located an active warrant. The party was booked into the jail without incident.
On 8/29/16 Deputies responded for a welfare check. The report has been forwarded to Human Services.
On 8/29/16 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched on a report of possible attempted suicide. A case report was completed.
