On 8/1/22 at approximately 2:30 p.m. a deputy made a traffic stop at the intersection of Coyote Circle and Dory Hill Road. The driver was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested. A case report was later completed.
On 8/1/22, a deputy was assigned to investigate an allegation of Eavesdropping 18-9-304. The reporting party alleges another party was eavesdropping on them on or about 6/24/22. An investigation was completed and a report done.
On 8/1/22, at approximately 3:05 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, for a person who wanted to report an alleged menacing/harassment. A report was completed.
On 8/1/22, at approximately 5:26 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an unknown injury motor vehicle crash located in the 2800 block of Highway 72. Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol in investigating the incident. A report was taken.
On 8/2/22, at approximately 2:26 a.m., a deputy was stationary at mile marker 6, Highway 119, Black Hawk. The deputy did observe a black SUV bearing a Colorado temporary tag with the right headlight broken. Upon investigation the subject was released with a summons for driving with a fictitious plate and being suspended.
On 8/2/22, at approximately 2:44 a.m., a deputy was on an area check at 111 Lawrence Street (Century garage). The deputy was advised by an employee of one of the casinos that a suspicious person was near a Subaru on level one of the parking garages. Upon investigation, the subject had two felony warrants and was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 8/2/22, at approximately 4:32 a.m., a deputy assisted the officer from the Black Hawk Police Department with a DUI stop at approximately mile marker 3, Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. Upon investigation the deputy helped find controlled substances and a stolen weapon.
On 8/3/22, at approximately 9:47 a.m., deputies were flagged down at Nevada Street in City of Central City, in reference to found property. A report was taken.
On 8/3/22, Gilpin County deputies found an item and were able to return it to the owner. A report was completed.
On 8/3/22, at approximately 1:40 p.m., a deputy responded to the 5500 block of the Central City Parkway for a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed and a case report was later completed.
On 8/4/22, at approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the area of 111 Richman Street in Black Hawk to assist the Black Hawk Police Department with a disturbance in progress.
On 8/4/22, at approximately 11:46 a.m., deputies responded to Gilpin County and the State of Colorado in reference to a welfare check and a report was taken.
On 8/5/22, at approximately 11:05 a.m., a deputy was dispatched along with another deputy to Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk. A report of a civil issue was completed.
On 8/5/22, at approximately 12:27 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a criminal mischief report located at approximately 3000 Highway 119. A report was completed.
On 8/5/22, at approximately 9:05 p.m., a deputy was advised by Gilpin County Communications about a theft of a check from a mailbox on Antler Lane. A deputy was advised by Gilpin County Communications that this incident can be handled by phone.
On 8/5/22, at approximately 11:52 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an assault in progress at 321 Gregory Street (Grand Z Casino). Upon investigation, a warrant will be issued for the suspect due to the suspect leaving the scene before the arrival of law enforcement.
On 8/6/22, at approximately 12:50 a.m., a deputy met with a person in the lobby of the sheriff’s office, 2960 Dory Hill Road, who wanted to report their teenage daughter missing. The missing girl was located and a report taken.
On 8/6/22, at 4:21 p.m., a deputy responded to 111 Lawrence Street, Central City, on the report of a vehicle break-in. A report was taken.
On 8/7/22, at 4:51 p.m., deputies responded to an assault in progress in the 200 block of Feldspar Road. At the conclusion of the investigation, the victim declined to prosecute. A report was taken.
On 8/7/22, at approximately 9:18 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino, Central City, on the report of missing prescription medications.
On 8/7/22, at approximately 8:22 a.m., deputies were flagged down at 141 Nevada Street, City of Central City, Gilpin County, in reference to found property and a report was taken
On 8/8/22, at approximately 9:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Old Hughesville Road for a report of trespassing and criminal mischief. A case report was later completed.
On 8/9/22, at approximately 5:24 p.m., a Gilpin deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding. During the stop it was determined that the male driver was driving under the influence and was arrested, issued a summons, and released. A report was later made.
On 8/10/22, a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection.
On 8/10/22, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a deputy took a report of a “cold” burglary that occurred on Jankowski Drive in unincorporated Gilpin County. An investigation was opened.
On 8/11/22, at approximately 9:25 a.m., deputies contacted a wanted party in the 6000 block of Virginia Canyon in unincorporated Gilpin County. The party was arrested and a case report was later completed.
On 8/11/22, at approximately 12:01 p.m., a dog bite was reported to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s office. Deputies responded and the injured person was treated by the responding deputy and cleared by the medics. A report was completed.
On 8/11/22, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a deputy was traveling southbound at mile marker 5, Highway 119. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. Upon investigation, the suspect was arrested for giving false information to law enforcement and multiple warrants.
On 8/12/22, at 11 a.m., an inmate being booked into the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an additional active warrant.
On 8/12/22, a deputy stopped a vehicle after a REDDI report was given. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI and other charges.
On 8/12/22, a deputy located a license plate on the shoulder of the highway. The plate was collected and logged into evidence for destruction.
On 8/13/22, at approximately 2:54 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a vehicle with the back driver side window broken, located at Nevada Street, Bridge Street (Big T parking lot). Multiple items were damaged and stolen out of the vehicle. This case will be sent to investigations.
On 8/13/22, at approximately 4:18 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to investigate a possible threat to the Gilpin County School involving a weapon. A party was identified and a report completed.
On 8/13/22, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident with three vehicles involved at Nevada Street, Bridge Street, Central City. Upon investigation of the accident, the driver was arrested for DUI.
On 8/14/22, a male party was discovered to be having a mental health crisis. He was evaluated by a deputy and transported to the hospital for an M1 evaluation.
On 8/14/22, at approximately 6:34 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Easy Street Casino, 120 Main Street, Central City, on the report of counterfeit money. A counterfeit bill was seized and a report taken.
On 8/15/22, at approximately 2 p.m., a deputy was releasing an inmate. When releasing an inmate it is required they be run through CCIC/NCIC to check for any warrants. The inmate showed to have two new warrants, one out of Jefferson County and one out of Douglas County. The party was informed of these warrants and was rebooked without incident.
On 8/15/22, at approximately 6:36 p.m., deputies responded to conduct a welfare check on an individual in Central City. The individual was placed on an involuntary mental health hold and transported to a medical facility. A report was taken.
On 8/16/22, at approximately 12:43 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of a trespass in the 100 block of Silver Creek Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 8/16/22, at approximately 10:36 a.m., Gilpin County deputy arrested a male party for an FOJ warrant at 111 Richman Street. A report was completed.
On 8/17/22, at approximately 5:27 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, in reference to a welfare check. Gilpin County Dispatch advised there was a male party sitting in the middle of the street impeding traffic. The male party was contacted and arrested on an active warrant and issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia..
On 8/17/22, at approximately 7:58 p.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the 3000 block of Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol (CSP) with a motor vehicle accident. A male party was arrested by CSP and a report was later made.
On 8/18/22, at approximately 12:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street in Black Hawk, to assist the Black Hawk Police Department with a fight in progress. A case report was later completed.
On 8/18/22, at approximately 2:55 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Gap Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, for a welfare check. A party was found to be deceased and a case report was later completed.
On 8/18/22, at approximately 5:49 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist the Gilpin County Jail due to a fight between two females. Upon investigation, none of the inmates will have criminal charges for the fight.
On 8/18/22, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at the Coyote Motel. After the investigation had been completed, it was determined that no crimes had occurred.
On 8/18/22, at approximately 10:18 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 5700 block of the Central City Parkway. Warrants were located on a male party who was then taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 8/19/22, at 3:55 p.m., an inmate being released from the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have two active warrants.
On 8/20/22, at 1:27 p.m., a deputy contacted a party in the lobby in reference to a hit and run accident which occurred at approximately the 500 block of Kingston Hill Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. The reporting person did not provide actionable information that warranted follow-up, so a counter report was taken.
On 8/20/22, at approximately 11:19 p.m., a deputy responded to 321 Gregory Street (Grand Z Casino) in Central City. The deputy was advised of a black van with the door open and someone hanging from the vehicle. Upon contact, the deputy found that the driver had warrants and was taken into custody.
On 8/21/22, at approximately 12:08 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 1351 Highway 119, Black Hawk, on the report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. A report was taken.
On 8/21/22, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Gilpin County deputies arrested a male party for driving under the influence in the 100 block of Richman Street in Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 8/21/22, at approximately 2:50 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of found property. The deputy was further advised the party was in the lobby of the sheriff’s office. A report was completed.
On 8/21/22, at approximately 10:39 p.m., a deputy responded to 8060 Highway 119, Black Hawk, The Hidden Treasure Trailhead, to cover Black Hawk Police Officers. A report was taken.
On 8/22/22, at approximately 1:54 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to contact a party in regards to a harassment which may have occurred at Century Casino, 102 Main Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 8/22/22, at approximately 6 p.m., a deputy responded to assist Fire/EMS personnel regarding a CPR in progress in the 100 block of Main Street, Rollinsville. A report was taken.
On 8/22/2022 at approximately 9:02 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of mail theft in the 34000 block of Pine Ridge Road, unincorporated Gilpin County.. A report was taken.
On 8/23/22, at approximately 3:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Rudolph Ranch Road, Black Hawk, in reference to a criminal mischief and a report was taken.
On 8/23/22, at approximately 9:20 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff deputy working at the Gilpin County Jail arrested a male subject on a warrant and a report was taken.
On 8/23/22, at approximately 11:46 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Iris Road, Gilpin County in reference to a harassment. This was determined to be a civil matter and a report was taken.
On 8/23/22 at approximately 2:16 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 410 Bobtail Hill Circle, Central City, in reference to a cold assault/ domestic violence/medical. A report was completed.
On 8/23/22, at approximately 9:36 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was flagged down by a resident in the 200 block of Eureka Street, Central City, for the report of a cold burglary. No suspects were located and no property had been stolen. A report was later made.
On 8/24/22, a deputy investigated a party for failure to register as a sex offender. Upon investigation, the party was not required to register.
On 8/24/22, at approximately 6:32 p.m., a deputy responded to collect found property from a citizen who had arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. A report was taken.
On 8/24/22, at approximately 7:11 p.m., deputies responded to the report of an attack from a dog resulting in injuries to another dog located in the 90 block of Tschaikovsky Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 8/25/22, at approximately 11 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 8/25/22, at approximately 11:35 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 350 Lawrence Street, Central City, in reference to a cold fraud. A report was completed.
On 8/26/22, at approximately 5:58 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Karlann Drive, Black Hawk, on the report of a suicidal individual. A person was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
On 8/27/22, at approximately 12:05 a.m., a deputy was traveling southbound on the 100 block of Main Street in Black Hawk. The deputy observed a male party whom the deputy identified due to past encounters. The deputy made a positive identification of the suspect, who had a felony warrant, and placed the offender under arrest. The offender was charged with additional charges.
On 8/27/22, a deputy responded to a report of trespassing at a residence off Gap Road. The deputy conducted an investigation and completed a report on the incident.
On 8/27/22, at approximately 8:52 p.m., deputies, Timberline Fire, and Gilpin Medics, were dispatched to Black Hawk on the report of a male party overdosing on methamphetamine. A person was transported to the hospital.
On 8/27/22, at approximately 11:09 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a in progress at the 100 block of Wallens Place, Black Hawk. Deputies detained one person who was later released from custody. A stolen vehicle was located at the address. A report was taken.
On 8/28/22, at 6:49 a.m., a deputy responded to the 200 block of Crest View Drive, unincorporated Gilpin County, on the report of a dog issue. Investigation disclosed that a neighbor’s dog entered the victim’s yard and attacked their dog. The owner of the attacking dog was served a summons.
On 8/28/22, at approximately 7:17 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Mystic Lane, Black Hawk, on the report of a disturbance. A male party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 8/29/22, at approximately 7:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold trespass located at 597 Highpoint Circle, Black Hawk. A report was completed.
On 8/30/22, at approximately 12:28 a.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the 800 block of Eldora Road, in Nederland, to assist Boulder County Sheriff`s Office with a burglary in progress. A female party was arrested by Boulder County deputies.
On 8/31/22, at approximately 10:51 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the City of Central City in reference to a death investigation and a report was taken.
On 8/30/22, a party was issued a trespassing summons for an alleged criminal event that occurred on 8/27/22 outside the jail facility. A report was later completed.
On 8/31/22, at approximately 3:07 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Century parking garage for a vehicle that had its tires slashed. A report was made.
On 8/31/22, at approximately 9:45 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Pine Street in Central City, for a welfare check where two men were reported to be unconscious and unresponsive in their car. The two were medically evaluated and released. One was arrested for an active warrant.
On 8/31/22, at approximately 2:32 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to take a call via phone in reference to a theft that occurred approximately at mile marker 2.5 Highway 119, Black Hawk, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was completed.
On 8/31/22, at approximately 8:46 p.m., a deputy was stationary at traffic lights at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa Road, Black Hawk. The deputy observed a silver Pontiac bearing Colorado plates run the red traffic light. Upon investigation the deputy tried to pat down and the subject resisted and assaulted the deputy. Subject was arrested and booked into the jail.
