The Gilpin County Eagles’ basketball team lost their first game after the winter break, 42-66, against the Longmont Christian Warriors last Friday, January 5, 2018.
The Gilpin boys worked hard to gain control of the game but Longmont’s Dominic Puchino was a scoring machine, coming up with 31 points.
Tanner Davis led in scoring and rebounding for the Eagles with his double double, 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Alex Wilhelm: 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Nolan Lindberg: 2 points, 3 rebounds
John Immordino: 7 points, 4 rebounds
Will Lorenz: 4 points, 1 three-pointer, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
Tanner Davis: 19 points, 3 three-pointers, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 block
Chris Brutschi: 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals
The Eagles now have a 1-5 record.
