On 9-2-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a harassment incident. The officer talked to the victim, Ameristar security and the poker dealer and determined it was a verbal altercation. No charges were filed.
On 9-2-18 a female party called the police department and reported that she lost her cell phone at the Ameristar Casino the night before. An investigation is being conducted and a report taken.

On 9-2-18 officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft. A report was taken.
On 9-3-18 an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found drugs. The suspect was arrested at the Ameristar Casino for possession of a controlled substance.
On 9-3-18 at approximately 8:20 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a stolen cell phone.
On 9-4-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs. After a further investigation, the suspect was identified. The suspect was placed into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-5-18 officers were dispatched to the Mardi Gras Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill and suspect on scene. After further investigation the bill was seized and placed into evidence at the police department for follow-up.
On 9-5-18 at approximately 7:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel on the report of damaged property.
On 9-6-18 officers responded to the area of the Ameristar Casino on the report of a hit and run accident and REDDI report. The driver was located and was not intoxicated. He was released pending further investigation.
On 9-6-18 an officer took a phone report on a property damage accident, which occurred on 9-5-18 at 1040 Dory Hill Road.
On 9-6-18 at approximately 5:47 p.m., officers responded to 261 Main Street on a report of a disturbance between a male and female. It was determined that a verbal dispute took place between the male and female. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-7-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a hit and run involving a pedestrian. The vehicle was later located, and the male driver was taken into custody.
On 9-8-18 at approximately 2:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the area of the Lodge Casino to conduct a welfare check on an intoxicated party. The male was contacted and deemed intoxicated. He had a court order stating he shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages, so the male was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-8-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. There is no suspect information.
On 9-8-18 at approximately 3:40 a.m., an officer pulled a vehicle over at the 600 block of Gregory St. The party was taken into custody for DUI.
On 9-8-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of parties possibly using narcotics in the parking garage. Three parties were eventually contacted. One party was released, one party was issued a citation, and the third party was booked into Gilpin County Jail for possession of Schedule II.
On 9-8-18 Black Hawk officers responded to 120 Main St. for a warrant pickup. Officers took into custody a male with two active warrants and transported him to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 9-9-18 dispatchers observed a male party walking behind the police department. Party was contacted and placed on a mental health hold.
On 9-9-18 at approximately 12:09 p.m., an officer received a phone report of a vehicle trespass.
On 9-9-18 at approximately 9:30 a.m., an officer was checking the unoccupied city owned residences in the 300 block of Gregory Street and found a homeless man sleeping under a tarp in the open shed of 351 Gregory Street. Officer Hansen determined the home was not entered and although the male was trespassing on the property, no damage was done and the door to the shed was already open. The male party was released with a warning.
On 9-9-18 an officer took a phone report from a female who stated she was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a crash on 9-8-18 at approximately 2:30 p.m. The female is claiming serious bodily injury. A report was taken.
On 9-9-18 an officer took a phone report of a cold hit and run crash that occurred at the Ameristar parking garage 111 Richman Street on 9-8-18. The officer identified both parties on scene and they decided to exchange information and not create a report. The suspect requested a report. Very minor damage was reported, and surveillance review was inconclusive. A report was taken.
On 9-10-18 officers were dispatched to the area of the Monarch and Isle garages on the report of a male employee who took a swing at another male party. After further investigation, the male suspect was issued and released on a county summons for harassment and permanently banned from entering the Monarch properties.
On 9-11-18 officers responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a counterfeit $10 bill. Suspect had been identified and the bill was taken and booked into evidence.
On 9-12-18 officers contacted a party for an ID check at the Ameristar Casino. The party was arrested for a felony warrant and multiple misdemeanor warrants.
On 9-12-18 a report of a hit and run accident at the Ameristar Casino was investigated. A suspect has been identified.
On 9-12-18 at approximately 3:23 p.m., officers were assigned to a phone report regarding a hit and run accident that occurred at 255 Main Street. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-11-18 at approximately 5:39 a.m., a female responded to the Black Hawk Police Department to report a harassment. A report was completed, and the case is under further investigation.
On 9-13-18 officer was dispatched to the area approximate Mile Marker 7.5 and HWY 119 for a vehicle accident vs. a female deer. No injuries occurred, and the animal was moved off the roadway.
On 9-13-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino on a possible DV Harassment. Parties left separately, and report was taken.
On 9-13-18 an officer was dispatched to a disturbance at the Isle Casino valet area. Suspect has left the area via bus and report was taken.
On 9-13-18 at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street level 6 on a report of a vehicle accident. A driver was cited for careless driving. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-14-18 officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino self-parking lot on the report of a hit and run accident. A female suspect was later contacted and issued a citation.
On 9-14-18 officers responded to the Mardi Gras on the report of found drugs. A male suspect was later contacted and taken into custody.
On 9-14-18 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on lost property. A report was taken, and the victim returned to his hotel room.
On 9-14-18 damage to a City of Black Hawk maintenance vehicle was reported. A report was taken.
On 9-14-18 an officer received a phone call for a hit and run accident. Video surveillance was received, and a report was taken.
On 9-14-18 officers were dispatched to the KMM parking garage regarding a single vehicle traffic accident. A report was taken, and a summons issued.
On 9-14-18 at approximately 7:54 hours, officers were dispatched to KMM parking garage on a disturbance. The disturbance turned out to be a verbal harassment between a casino employee and a casino guest. The casino guest was asked to leave the property.
On 9-15-18 an officer responded to the 200 block of Clear Creek St. regarding a stop sign blocking the roadway. The stop sign was moved, and a report was taken.
On 9-15-18 officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and booked into evidence.
On 9-15-18 an officer responded to the KMM parking garage regarding an intoxicated male party. The male party had been identified and was given a courtesy ride to the Isle Casino to stay with his friend.
On 9-15-18 Black Hawk officers responded to 240 Main St. regarding a theft. Upon reviewing surveillance, no suspect information was obtained. The victim was advised and a business card with the case report number was given.
On 9-15-18 Black Hawk officers responded to a hit and run accident at 111 Richman St. The vehicle was contacted and after further investigation a summons was issued to Gilpin County Court.
On 9-16-18 an officer responded to the Z-Casino regarding a theft of cell phone. The cell phone was not retrieved, and the suspect has not yet been identified.
On 9-17-18 at approximately 10:58 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino to check on a vehicle. The vehicle was stolen and later impounded.
On 9-17-18 at approximately Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino reference counterfeit bill. Suspect was not on scene report was generated for the Lode Casino.
On 9-17-18 at approximately 10:42 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle failing to display headlights on Highway 119 and Mile Marker 6.5. The male driver was arrested for a felony warrant out of Arapahoe County.
On 9-18-18 at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on a report of a disturbance. A male party was asked to leave the property. An informational report was complete.
On 9-19-18 officers investigated a suspicious incident in a parking garage. A female reported hearing a male saying, “We’ll get them.” The female noticed fresh handprints on her truck and thought they were talking about her. The male was contacted, and it does not appear he was talking about the reproving party, he was talking to someone else.
On 9-20-18 at approximately 4:37 p.m., officers responded to 401 Main Street, room #708, on a reported disturbance. A female was contacted and stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend left the area and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On 9-21-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino Parking Garage on the report of a male urinating in the garage. The male was contacted, and a report was taken.
On 9-21-18 officers were told of a possible harassment that occurred at the Lodge Casino. Party was later contacted at the KMM parking structure and taken into custody.
On 9-21-18 an officer took a report of stolen tools from a vehicle. The victim has compiled a list of tools missing. A report has been taken and follow-up will be required.
On 9-21-18 Black Hawk officers responded to 221 Church St. regarding a stolen phone. Victim was advised of investigation on going and copy of case number was given.
On 9-22-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party who dropped money on the gaming floor which was picked up by another party. A male suspect has been identified.
On 9-22-18 officers responded to the area of the 100 block of Richman Street on a REDDI report. The driver had been previously contacted and assisted in getting on a bus to the metro area. The party was issued a summons and transported to detox.
On 9-22-18 officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino reference a 1st degree criminal trespass. The suspect was found to have 5 extraditable warrants. The suspect assaulted PO, fled and was apprehended shortly thereafter.
On 9-22-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a verbal disturbance. One male was taken into custody for a protection order violation and transported to Jefferson County Detox Center.
On 9-22-18 an officer responded to the Isle Casino regarding damaged property on a vehicle. Upon arrival, MOD of the Isle Casino stated that the broken windshield was the driver’s fault and did not want to press charges. The officer had clearances on the plate and the plate came back stolen. The plates were taken and booked into evidence.
On 9-22-18 Black Hawk officers responded to a disturbance at the Ameristar Casino. Upon arrival the suspect was contacted and cleared with an active protection order. There were violations of stipulations on alcohol. The suspect was arrested.
On 9-23-18 officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a theft of a wallet. The unidentified suspect left property before being contacted and the investigation is ongoing.
On 9-23-18 officers responded to the KMM Parking Garage on the report of a stolen vehicle. The ongoing investigation found three vehicles stolen and recovered. Suspects have not been identified.
On 9-23-18 an officer responded to the Isle Casino regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle and suspects have not yet been located and identified.
On 9-23-18 at approximately 8:08 a.m., officer completed a phone report of a stolen cell phone. The phone was stolen from the Monarch Casino. A suspect was identified and issued a summons for theft.
On 9-23-18 Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino regarding a theft. The officer spoke with the victim and advised that there was no suspect information. A case number was given for the theft.
On 9-23-18 Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Isle Casino regarding lost property. The officer spoke with the female party who stated she could not remember where she left her phone. A case number was given for the lost property.
On 9-23-18 Black Hawk officers took a phone report regarding lost property. The reporting party stated she had lost her ring walking from the Central City limit sign toward the Ameristar Casino. A case report was issued for lost property.
On 9-23-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a disturbance. After investigation, there was no physical harm and the suspect was heavily intoxicated. The female suspect was placed into protective custody and was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital.
On 9-23-18 a party turned in a driver’s license to the Police Department which he found near the Gazebo.
On 9-23-18 an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino for a child welfare check. The scene was investigated, and the children were found to be in good health. A report was taken.
On 9-24-18 Black Hawk officers responded to the Coyote Motel regarding a counterfeit bill. The victim had no suspect information. A business card with the case number was given to the victim.
On 9-26-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding found drugs. No suspect has been identified and the drugs were booked for destruction.
On 9-25-18 at approximately 11:49 p.m., officers took a patron complaint at the Ameristar Casino. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-26-18 at approximately 2:19 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a call of a damaged slot machine. The suspect has not been identified yet.
On 9-27-18 a party contacted the Black Hawk Police Department to report a theft of money from his hotel room at the Lady Luck Hotel. Suspects have been identified.
On 9-27-18 at approximately 10:23 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street garage level 5 on a report of a theft from a vehicle. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-28-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. No suspect could be identified, a report was taken.
On 9-28-18 at approximately 3:19 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street Human Resources Department on a report of an employee harassing another employee by recording that person. A male employee was contacted and charged with Invasion of Privacy for Sexual Gratification. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-28-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance between a male and female. The male party was taken into custody.
On 9-29-18 an officer conducted a traffic stop for no headlights. The driver was deemed intoxicated and was arrested for driving under the influence.
On 9-29-18 an officer responded to a wallet theft from the KMM Parking Garage. The suspect was identified, and a report was taken.
On 9-29-18 at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino main cage on a report of a counterfeit $50.00 bill. A report was completed regarding the incident.
On 9-30-18 officers responded to the Lady Luck parking lot on the report of a hit and run on a parked vehicle. A review of surveillance showed the vehicle was not hit in the parking lot.
On 9-30-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a stolen wallet. Wallet was not retrieved, and a suspect had been identified.
On 9-30-18 officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found drugs. There is no suspect information.
On 9-30-18 officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino regarding a possible theft. A report was taken.
On 9-30-18 at approximately 8:18 p.m., officers were dispatched the Lodge Casino parking garage on the report of a vehicle break in.
