On 5/1/24, at approximately 7:55 a.m., officers were approached by a female party claiming she had been kidnapped and dropped off in Black Hawk. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

On 5/1/24, an officer assisted Gilpin County deputies in detaining a suspect of criminal mischief at a casino in Central City.

On 5/1/24, at approximately 1:52 p.m., officers received a request from Colorado Division of Gaming and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to assist with locating a male and a female party believed to be in the area. A male and female party were contacted at the Horseshoe Hotel and taken into custody without incident.

On 5/1/24, at approximately 9:49 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired registration occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/1/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a theft incident. A suspect was identified and a report was taken.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 2:05 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights occurring at the 6100 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 6:51 a.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a damaged slot machine. A suspect was later identified, and the case remains open.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 9:08 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 9:49 p.m., officers responded to the pool area of the Ameristar Casino on a report of lost property. A surveillance review determined the report was unfounded. A report was completed.

On 5/2/24, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers handled a juvenile problem at the Ameristar Hotel. A report was completed.

On 5/3/24, at approximately 7:16 a.m., officers responded to mile marker 1 on Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol in the arrest of vehicle occupants with outstanding warrants. A report was completed.

On 5/3/24, at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers were called to a local residence to assist with a lock-out in the house. Resources were provided and the resident was able to make entry into their room.

On 5/3/24, at approximately 10:49 a.m., officers and medical personnel responded to The Lodge Casino for a female guest who was unconscious and had shallow breathing. The female was transported to a local hospital.

On 5/3/24, officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a citation.

On 5/3/24, at approximately 10:51 p.m., officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino for a physical disturbance. A suspect was arrested.

On 5/4/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a physical disturbance in progress. One male victim was contacted and one male suspect left before police could contact them. The male victim didn't want to press charges. A report was taken.

On 5/4/24, at approximately 2:14 p.m., officers received a report of a disturbance in progress involving a male party striking a female party in the face. A male party fled the scene but was located a short time later. He was taken into custody.

On 5/4/24, at approximately 4:54 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of an assault. The officer later identified the suspect and issued him a summons.

On 5/4/24, at approximately 5:28 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Bally's garage on the report of a cold hit and run. The officer was able to identify the suspect and the victim did not wish to press charges and to handle this case civilly.

On 5/4/24, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a theft; a suspect was cited.

On 5/5/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an equipment violation observed at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/5/24, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a lost phone. Officers spoke to the phone owner and learned that the last time the owner saw her phone was at the Lady Luck. Officers took a report and reviewed the surveillance but were unable to locate the phone.

On 5/5/24, officers responded to a cell phone theft at the Lodge Casino. The suspect couldn't be identified and a report was taken.

On 5/5/24, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 119 and Main Street for expired Colorado temporary plates. Vehicle was discovered to have valid registration. Driver released on a verbal warning.

On 5/5/24, an officer responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on the report of a hit-and-run accident. Unfortunately, there was no camera coverage where the victim was parked. No suspect was identified.

On 5/5/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on parties riding a longboard down Miners Mesa Road. The parties were given a warning and advised not to continue.

On 5/6/24, an officer received a phone call regarding a male party who was staying at Chase Street in Black Hawk. The male party had a Felony warrant. Officers picked up the male party with the warrant and transported him to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/7/24, officers contacted a suspicious vehicle at Rim Rock parking. They were told they could not be there due to the area being private property.

On 5/7/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding an assist to the Division of Gaming. A report was taken.

On 5/7/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a stolen iPhone that occurred on 5/3/24. Surveillance was given the information and will advise us of any findings. The case will remain active for further investigation.

On 5/7/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on lost keys. Surveillance was notified, and they are currently reviewing the video. The case will remain active for further investigation.

On 5/7/24, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a vehicle backing up in the Lodge parking lot bumped into another vehicle. The vehicle owner of the bumped vehicle did not want to pursue any repairs or insurance exchange. The party that struck the other vehicle was given a verbal warning for careless driving.

On 5/8/24, at approximately 9:09 a.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 5/8/24, an officer responded to the Lakewood Police Department on the report of a critical incident (officer-involved shooting) that had occurred in Lakewood earlier in the day. Several interviews were held during this time, and investigative assistance was provided.

On 5/8/24, at approximately 7:12 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an expired plate from 10-23 and only had two out of the three brake lights working. The officer later issued the driver with a ticket.

On 5/8/24, at approximately 8:26 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle with a fictitious plate observed leaving the Monarch Garage onto Main Street. The driver was given a warning due to the circumstances.

On 5/8/24, at approximately 9:10 p.m., an officer responded to mile marker 3.5 on Highway 119 to assist Gilpin County Sheriff's Office deputies on a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for DUI and a report was completed.

On 5/9/24, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The reason for the stop was because officers observed the vehicle without its lights on and they continued straight through the intersection at Main Street and Miners Road when they were in the right turn lane. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/9/24, at approximately 12:09 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle for failure to display a license plate occurring at Highway 119 and mile marker 6.1. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/9/24, at approximately 12:29 a.m., officers checked the welfare of a subject in the Dakota Lot. The subject was identified and given a warning for possession of drug paraphernalia. A report was completed.

On 5/9/24, at approximately 2:33 a.m., an officer took a report of found property at the Police Department, located at 221 Church Street. A report was completed. 

On 5/9/24, at approximately 4:48 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. Upon observation, the vehicle's driver-side brake light was not operational. The officer issued the driver with a citation. 

On 5/9/24, at approximately 5:28, officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary plate at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a citation. 

On 5/9/24, at approximately 6:49 p.m., Black Hawk Police Officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of counterfeit bills. The officers collected the bills and a report was filed. 

On 5/9/24, at approximately 10:01 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying expired license plates occurring at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed. 

On 5/9/24, at approximately 11:46 p.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a phone theft. Officers spoke to the owner of the phone and got the description of the phone. Officers were able to locate the suspect and the phone and were able to return the phone to the owner. The suspect was trespassed from the property. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 12:28 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary tag on the 500 block of Gregory Street. The driver was given a warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 1:05 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlamps occurring on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was given a warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/10/24, an officer conducted a routine welfare check on a male living in his vehicle in the Ameristar Casino. The subject said he was alright and exited the vehicle and entered into the casino for warmth. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 8:04 a.m., an officer was on patrol of the Lady Luck Garage when he noticed a vehicle with a damaged front wheel and a flat tire. The license plate of the vehicle was fictitious, so it was seized and booked into evidence. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 6:21 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had expired plates since 2022. Upon contact, the driver was unable to show proof of insurance and was issued a citation. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 8:26 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. Investigations are still on-going. 

On 5/10/24, at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 12:32 a.m., officers responded to the report of a theft of a cell phone that occurred at Ameristar. A report was taken.

On 5/11/24, at approximately 12:22 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report was completed. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 4:43 a.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino to take a report of lost property that occurred at the Lady Luck Casino. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 4:28 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a couple throwing drug paraphernalia at a security officer. While en route, the officers were informed that the couple left the Ameristar. Officers were unable to locate the couple. Officers spoke to the security officer and a report was taken. The drug paraphernalia has been booked for destruction. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 7:10 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag. The driver was given a verbal warning and told to register the vehicle. 

On 5/11/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit one-hundred-dollar bill. The suspect was contacted, and the bill was booked into evidence. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 11:03 a.m., officers responded to the area of Ameristar Casino to assist a veteran in crisis. The male was voluntarily transported to St. Lutheran. 

On 5/11/24, officers observed a vehicle with a fictitious license plate in the 6000 block of Highway 119 NB. The plate was seized and the driver was cited. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 9:38 p.m., Black Hawk Police Officers took a call on the report of an underage gamer. All pertinent information was gathered. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired license plates occurring at Main Street and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a citation and a report was completed. 

On 5/11/24, at approximately 11:31 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle spotted at the 6300 block of Highway 119 bearing a stolen license plate. The plate was recovered and the driver was cited. 

On 5/12/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated male pushing people at the craps table. A male was issued a summons for assault and harassment and transported to the hospital by officers due to being a danger to others. 

On 5/12/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle failing to maintain lanes. The driver was working for Uber and was lost looking for an address. The driver was given a warning. 

On 5/12/24, at approximately 4:18 p.m., a male party attacked another male party at a gaming table at the Ameristar Casino. The male party that was attacked received an injury to his head and was taken to the hospital. The male party that was the aggressor was charged with assault. 

On 5/12/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on Richman Street continuing into the Ameristar Parking Garage. The vehicle did not have a rear plate. The driver of the vehicle was contacted and given a verbal warning. 

On 5/13/24, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a male party was cleared during a vehicle lockout and he had a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket out of Lakewood. Male party was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 5/15/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Hotel on the report of fraud. There was no evidence of fraud committed. 

On 5/14/24, at approximately 7:48 p.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino for a pulled fire alarm. The dispatch reported that an unknown male was observed pulling the fire alarm in the basement. The officers were unable to identify the male party. 

On 5/15/24, an officer assisted Gilpin County Deputies in the arrest of a male party who violated parole and had a 

On 05/15/24, at approximately 4:01 p.m., officers took a report of a missing person who was last seen at the Wild Card Casino. The missing party was entered into NCIC/CCIC as missing. On 5/29/24, recorders confirmed this person was removed from the CCIC/NCIC. 

On 5/15/24, an individual turned in a found cell phone to the police department. A report was taken and the phone booked in for safe keeping. 

On 5/15/24, at approximately 9:00 p.m., an officer took a phone report for lost property occurring the previous day. A report was completed and the investigation is ongoing. 

On 5/15/24, at approximately 11:26 p.m., an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino on a report of found drugs. Evidence was seized and a report was completed. An investigation is ongoing. 

On 5/15/24, at approximately 2:00 p.m., a property was turned into the Black Hawk Police Department by an unknown city employee. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 9:38 a.m., officers took a phone report regarding lost property at the Wild Card Casino. The victim was provided contact information to follow up with the casino. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 10:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to retrieve a found backpack. Case is active pending another case. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 1:02 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding a cold theft of property having occurred at the Monarch Hotel. There is no suspect information available at this time. 

Officers responded to the Red Dolly bus stop for a fall report on the city bus. A report was taken and a CIRSA form was completed. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 3:00 p.m., there was a knife found in the sharps container at the Police Department. It was placed into evidence to be destroyed this case will be closed. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 2:57 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of fraudulent activity. A male suspect has been identified. 

On 5/16/24, at approximately 8:23 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer took a phone report of stolen property. The officer filed a report for the lost property. 

On 5/16/24, officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag at the 6300 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a warning. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 12:19 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an obstructed license plate occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a summons. A license plate was seized and a report was completed. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 12:53 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 1:26 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Black Hawk Officers observed a vehicle going the wrong way on Selak Street. Officers performed a traffic stop and the driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hysterical female inside a hotel room. Medical was called and the female was cleared. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 4:51 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no plates. Upon contact, the driver did not have insurance and the driver was issued a summons. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 5:41 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no front plate and a tinted device covering the rear plate on a vehicle in the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was stopped and an educational opportunity was created. They were given a warning. 

On 5/17/24, at approximately 7:23 p.m., Black Hawk Police Officers responded to the Bull Durham Casino on the report of a Sexual Assault. Upon officer's arrival a male party was identified and issued a summons for Harassment. On 5/17/24, at approximately 10:06 p.m., an officer was flagged down in the hotel lobby of the Monarch Casino on a report of an unwanted party. Medics were called to check on the welfare of the party and they were transported to the hospital. A field interview report was completed. 

On 5/17/23, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a bag was stolen from the Horseshoe Casino. A suspect has been identified.

On 5/18/24, at approximately 11:02 p.m., officers were called to check the welfare of an individual at the Monarch Casino. A disturbance was determined to have occurred on the 300 block of Main Street but the victim declined to press charges. A report was completed. 

On 5/18/24, officers stopped a vehicle that was driving carelessly at Main Street and Miners Street. The driver was cited. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 12:27 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a traffic accident in the parking garage. Officers arrived on the scene and a report was taken. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 12:46 a.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving on the opposite side of the lane. No detection of impairment was observed and the officer released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/18/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance in a hotel room. Both the male and female involved stated the argument was verbal and the female was given a different hotel room for the night. A report was completed. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 1:44 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a prohibited U-turn occurring at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 3:51 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Surveillance at the Horseshoe Casino on a report of damaged property in a hotel room at the Lady Luck Hotel. Officers spoke to a female party and learned that a male party might be the one that damaged the room. Investigation is still ongoing. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 7:00 a.m., an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary license plate at the intersection of Miners Street and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 7:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Bally's Parking Garage located at 255 Main Street on a report of a female screaming. Officers arrived on scene and located a male and female. They denied being in any altercation between each other. They relayed they heard tires screeching in the parking garage and did not hear anyone screaming. Parties were identified and released. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 10:53 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel lobby for a lost electric wheelchair. A surveillance review was conducted and the electric wheelchair was located. It was returned to the owner. 

On 05/18/24, at approximately 2:12 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Main Street on the report of a parking violation. A vehicle owner was contacted and released on a verbal warning. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 2:56 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check in the Monarch Parking Garage. The occupant was asked to leave the property and Monarch assisted in a requested jump start. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 3:18 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist medical personnel on the report of a female party experiencing leg pain and had possibly been run over. 

On 5/18/24, officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag from 2021 at the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver had no valid license. The driver was cited. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 8:41 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that drove through a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 8:57 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving straight from a right-turn-only lane. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 10:31 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring on the 100 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no headlights at Miners Street and Highway 119. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was given a warning. 

On 5/18/24, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/19/24, officers observed a vehicle make a U-Turn on a red arrow at the intersection Main Street and Highway 119. The vehicle had no headlights. After stopping the driver, they appeared intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for DUI. 

On 5/19/24, at approximately 1:09 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on a report of an unconscious party. The party was transported to the hospital and a report was completed. 

On 5/19/24, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a stolen phone. Officers contacted the owner and got the description of the phone. Officers observed surveillance footage and were able to track a female suspect and recover the phone. The female suspect turned the phone over without officers needing to ask. The phone was returned to the owner. 

On 5/19/24, at approximately 2:59 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of a possible disturbance. A party was contacted and checked okay. Nothing criminal was determined to have occurred and a report was completed. 

On 5/19/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that made a U-turn where prohibited by sign on Highway 119 at Gregory Street. The driver was released on a verbal warning. 

On 5/19/24, at approximately 7:06 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of damaged property. Officers are trying to identify the male suspect. 

On 5/19/24, officers were dispatched to the above location for a narcotics violation. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the suspect. He was cooperative and issued a ticket for possession of a schedule II narcotic. 

On 5/19/24, at approximately 8:18 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street for a fight between two male parties. Officers contacted the two male parties and found out they were friends. They did not want each other charged. 

On 5/20/24, at approximately 5:46 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino, on a report of found drugs. Security identified the male who dropped the drugs. The suspect was contacted, issued a summons, and released. 

On 5/22/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department observed a vehicle going at a high rate of speed on mile marker 5.8 and Highway 119. The officer conducted a traffic stop on mile marker 5.5 and Highway 119. The driver was released on a verbal warning for speeding. 

On 5/22/24, at approximately 6:51 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a wallet theft. Upon arrival, the suspect was contacted and he returned the wallet. He was issued a summons for theft and released. 

On 5/21/24, officers attempted a traffic stop in the Bally's Parking Garage on the up ramp from level 5 to 6. The driver of the vehicle decided not to stop and ran from the officers. A report was taken. 

On 5/21/24, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street. The vehicle did not have a displayed rear license plate. The driver was contacted, identified, and given a verbal warning. 

On 5/22/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department observed a vehicle near the 500 Block of Main Street that displayed a CO license plate with no tags. After the dispatch cleared the plate, it returned to expire in 2023. The driver did not have a valid driver's license or car insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons. 

On 5/23/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party trespassing. A contact was made and the party was advised of their trespassing status. They were given a verbal warning. 

On 5/23/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was observed on surveillance but their identity is unknown. The case is inactive pending additional leads. 

On 5/23/24, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in reference to a theft of property. The property was recovered and a suspect was cited. 

On 5/23/24, at approximately 11:02 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a male who urinated inside the casino. The male was cited and arrested on an unrelated warrant. 

On 5/24/24, at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers responded to Lake Gulch Road and Gold Mountain Road to assist Gilpin County Sheriff's Office deputies on a mental health call. A report was completed. 

On 5/24/24, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use their turn signal when changing lanes. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/24/24, at approximately 6:37 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer responded to the Lady Luck Parking Garage on the report of a hit and run. The officer later identified a victim as well as the vehicle and the suspect as well as the suspect vehicle. The officer later issued the suspect a citation. 

On 5/24/24, at approximately 7:44 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street in reference to a motorcycle crash with an unconscious party. The party was transported via flight for life and a report was conducted. 

On 5/25/24, at approximately 2:17 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding at the 6100 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 5/25/24, at approximately 10:54 a.m., officers responded to Highway 119 and Miners Road on a report of a motorcycle accident. A vehicle failed to yield while turning from Highway 119 onto Miners Road. Two motorcycles collided with the vehicle and were seriously injured and transported to a metro area hospital. 

On 5/25/24, at approximately 9:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible plate occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed. 

On 5/25/24, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.9 and passed multiple vehicles. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/26/24, at approximately 11:06 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates from 2023. Upon contact, the driver did not have a valid driver's license or insurance for the vehicle upon the officer's request. The driver was issued a citation. 

On 5/25/24, officers were on a walk at the Ameristar Casino and were flagged down by a female who lost her cell phone. The cell phone was later found to be stolen, but the suspect couldn't be identified. The investigation is active. 

On 5/26/24, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot on a report of damaged property. Officers arrived and observed a damaged tire. They went to surveillance but did not observe any damage to the tire. A report has been taken. 

On 5/25/24, officers were at the Ameristar Casino and were notified of a verbal argument. When contacted by officers, a female shoved a male. The female was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail on Domestic Violence. 

On 5/26/24, at approximately 3:02 a.m., officers responded to a REDDI report and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and the vehicle was parked and secured. A report was completed. 

On 5/26/24, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street. The vehicle's final stop was the entry-way into the Bally's Parking Garage. The vehicle did not have a rear license plate. The driver of the vehicle was given a verbal warning. 

On 5/26/24, at approx. 11:19 p.m., a female reported her iPhone was lost at the Monarch Casino. Casino surveillance is reviewing video footage to see if someone stole the phone. Action pending upon surveillance review. 

On 5/26/24, an officer observed a vehicle with defective brake lights. The vehicle also failed to maintain lane assignment and a traffic stop was initiated. The driver initially failed to yield but then stopped. On contact, the driver said he thought the emergency vehicle was going somewhere else and wasn't pulling him over. There were no signs of impaired driving on contact and the driver was given a warning. 

On 5/27/24, at approximately 12:30 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver almost hit the patrol vehicle by merging into the lane next to it without looking. The driver stated he was sorry for not paying attention; the driver was given a warning and released. 

On 5/27/24, an officer observed a lane violation and initiated a traffic stop. On contact, the driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 5/27/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle at the intersection of Richman Street and Main Street for expired license plates. The driver was released on a warning. 

On 5/27/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar garage on the report of a physical disturbance. One of the parties involved had left the scene. The other party involved remained at the scene and stated she was assaulted. 

On 5/27/24, officers responded to a phone report of a stolen wallet that occurred at the Bally's casino. Video surveillance was obtained however the suspect was not able to be identified. 

On 5/27/24, at approximately 5:45 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver stated he thought the speed limit was 35 miles per hour. The officer explained to the driver that the speed limit on Main Street was 15 miles per hour and released the driver with a warning. 

On 5/27/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a counterfeit bill that was discovered. A report was taken. 

On 5/28/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a stolen motor vehicle incident. A report was taken. 

On 5/28/24, an officer responded to the Bull Durham Casino on the report of found property. The officer recovered two cell phones. 

On 5/28/24, officers were dispatched to Bally's North Casino for an ID check. They were informed that the female had an outstanding warrant. The female was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 5/28/24, at approximately 11:57 p.m., Black Hawk Officers observed a male party they knew to be trespassed from the Lodge Casino on the Lodge gaming floor. Officers contacted and issued a summons to the male party. 

On 5/29/24, at approximately 12:21 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were informed of a trespassing party on the Ameristar Casino gaming floor. Officers arrived and contacted a male party. Officers were out with the same male on a previous call for the same reason. Officers were informed that the jail would accept the male party on new charges. During the arrest, the male party resisted and attempted to prevent officers from putting his hands behind his back. The male party was placed under arrest and transported to the jail. 

On 5/29/24, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had expired plates. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/29/24, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Black Hawk Officers observed a Nissan Murano driving without its headlights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 5/29/24, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/30/24, at approximately 12:07 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a stolen phone. Officers spoke to the phone's owner and went to surveillance. Officers were unable to see any theft on surveillance. The owner of the phone called the police department and said that he found the phone in his car. 

On 5/30/24, at approximately 8:56 a.m., an officer completed a welfare check on a party at Crooks Palace. The party was later transported to a metro area hospital. 

On 5/30/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft of property. A male suspect has not been identified. 

On 5/30/24, at approximately 4:22 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that displayed an expired plate from 2022. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 5/30/24, at approximately 5:37 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A report was taken.
On 5/30/23, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer was dispatched to Bally's West casino for an assault. The suspect was charged and the case remains open.

On 5/30/24, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to Bally's West on a report of an assault. A suspect was identified and was issued a municipal summons on scene for assault. 

On 5/30/24, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Black Hawk Police Officers were doing an area check at Bally's West when officers witnessed an assault in progress.The suspect was arrested. 

On 5/31/24, at approximately 12:28 a.m., Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a trespassed party in the poker room. Officers contacted the male party, who had been advised multiple times in the past he was not allowed on the property. The male party was issued a summons and escorted off property. At 1640 hours, Officers received a Reddit report of a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. The vehicle was located in the Dakota Lot at 245 Main Street. The driver was given a warning for careless driving. 

On 5/31/24, at approximately 6:38 p.m., a Black Hawk Police Officer responded to the Monarch Casino Parking Garage on the report of a hit and run. No suspect was identified. 

On 5/31/24, at approximately 7:48 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with expired plates in the 6000 block of Highway 119. Upon stopping, they discovered that the driver did not have valid insurance. The driver was issued a summons. 

On 5/31/24, at approximately 8:51 p.m., officers observed a vehicle bearing an unauthorized insignia. The driver was given a warning. 

On 5/31/24, officers responded to the intersection of Miners Street and Main Street to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. A male was arrested for DUI.
