On 12/1/23, at approximately 12:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar parking garage on a report of a suspicious incident. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons for violation of a protection order. A report was completed. 

On 12/1/23, at approximately 7:59 a.m., an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino parking garage on a welfare check. Two parties were inside the vehicle and were just sleeping. One party was later arrested for an outstanding warrant. 

On 12/1/23, officers responded to the Gold Mountain Village Apartments in Central City to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office on a report of a party who fired several shots from a gun. A male party was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

On 12/1/23, at approximately 6:10 p.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. A report was completed. 

On 12/1/23, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers contacted an individual on a report of suspicious activity occurring at the Lady Luck parking garage. The subject was arrested on an unrelated warrant and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/2/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a disturbance in a hotel room. A female was arrested for harassment and obstructing telephone service. Before transport to the jail, she was taken to Lutheran Hospital for a medical clearance.

On 12/2/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a cell phone and money theft. The report was determined to be unfounded.

On 12/2/23, at approximately 1:35 p.m., an officer completed a phone report of a lost cell phone.

On 12/2/23, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. An unknown male party was confronted by casino security and returned the stolen property. The unknown male party departed the casino prior to the officer's arrival.

On 12/2/23, officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident at Bally's parking garage. The damage on the vehicles was minor and the parties involved exchanged information. A FI report was completed.

On 12/3/23, at approximately 11:13 p.m., officers were called to the Ameristar Casino on a report of trespassing. A suspect was contacted, arrested on outstanding warrants and issued a trespassing summons.

On 12/3/23, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a reported stolen phone. Officers contacted the owner of the phone and learned that they had left it in the female restroom. They also said that there were two other females in the restroom as well. Due to having no camera coverage in the restroom officers were unable to determine a suspect.

On 12/3/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Hotel for a deceased party. A report was taken.

On 12/3/23, officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a female unconscious, not breathing. Life-saving measures were performed but were unsuccessful. The female party was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On 12/4/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a found baggie containing blue pills, in one of the hotel rooms. The officer took custody of the baggie and booked it into evidence for destruction.

On 12/3/23, at approximately 4:44 p.m., there was a report of harassment at the Monarch Casino. The harassment was investigated and unfounded.

On 12/3/23, at approximately 9:17 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/3/23, at approximately 9:47 p.m., officers noticed a vehicle driving improperly given the weather conditions. The driver was given a warning.

On 12/4/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lodge Casino on a napkin found in one of the hotel rooms containing a possible substance. The napkin was collected and booked into evidence for destruction.

On 12/4/23, at approximately 9:48 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/4/23, at approximately 8:13 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/5/23, at approximately 12:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a counterfeit $20 bill. Officers arrived on scene and confiscated the $20. Suspect advised he did not know where he got it from and did not know it was counterfeit.

On 12/5/23, officers observed a vehicle bearing a fictitious plate at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The plate was seized and the driver was cited.

On 12/5/23, Black Hawk Police officers responded to Monarch Casino on the report of an unwanted party refusing to leave after being asked multiple times. Officers spoke with the suspect, who after being trespassed from the property, agreed to leave. The officer's cleared with an FI contact.

On 12/5/23, at approximately 9:18 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a physical assault that occurred at the Lady Luck parking garage. Officers are attempting to contact the suspect or a warrant will be issued.

On 12/5/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a trespass incident. The suspect was

contacted and given a verbal warning.

On 12/6/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino Security Office regarding a domestic violence incident. A report was taken and an arrest was made.

On 12/6/23, at approximately 6:48 a.m., an officer responded to The Gilpin Casino on a report of a party trespassing. The party was advised he was not allowed to be in The Gilpin or Lodge Casino.

On 12/6/23, at approximately 12:53 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino valet on the report of a damaged vehicle. Officers determined that no damage occurred to the vehicle and the report was unfounded.

On 12/7/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a missing person. The person in question is an at-risk adult that was last seen walking south on Highway 119 at 2:05 a.m.. The missing person was later contacted after they arrived at their residence.

On 12/7/23, at approximately 9:44 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the Coyote Motel located at Highway 119 for a REDDI report from the Lodge Casino. The driver and passenger were given a courtesy ride and a report was taken.

On 12/8/23, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regards to an ID check. A report was taken.

On 12/8/23, officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino in regards to a theft incident. A report was taken.

On 12/8/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. Officers contacted a male

and a female who tried to cash $100. The male reported he got the bill in Denver, Colorado, and did not know the bill was a fake. Officers collected the bill and released both parties.

On 12/8/23, officers collected a purse from the fire department that was found in the parking lot. A report was taken and the purse was put in safekeeping.

On 12/8/23, officers took a phone report of a female who had her wallet stolen in Arapahoe County. Her ID and cards were being used in Black Hawk. The female didn't know where in Black Hawk it was being used because she no longer had access to her bank statements. The case is active till the female can provide more information.

On 12/9/23, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino parking garage in regards to a REDDI

report. A CR FI was filled out and a verbal warning was given.

On 12/9/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers contacted a male who was denied entry into the casino gaming floor due to not having an identification. The male climbed over the railing and onto the Timberline Grill's roof. The male got onto the gaming floor after climbing off the roof. Officers issued the male a ticket for trespass.

On 12/9/23, at approximately 5:05 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/9/23, at approximately 6:21 p.m., an officer was called to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of a found

firearm. The room was found to be still occupied and the firearm was left in possession of the owner. A field interview report was completed.

On 12/9/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a physical disturbance. Officers contacted two females who were both intoxicated. Officers learned the parties were in an intimate relationship. The officer investigated and determined no crime had been committed and both parties were separated for the night.

On 12/9/23, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regards to found narcotics. The narcotics

were collected by law enforcement and a report was taken.

On 12/10/23, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino in regards to a harassment incident. A summons was issued and a report was taken.

On 12/10/23, officers were on a call at the Lodge Casino when security asked for an identification check on a guest. The guest was using someone else's identification as their own. The male suspect was taken to an interview room and asked questions about the incident. Officers could not identify the individual as he continued to lie about his name and date of birth. Officers released the party pending felony charges after the male was searched. The Gilpin County Jail refused the male as they believed he could be under the age of 18. At no point did the male tell officers he was under 18 but due to the jail refusal, officers fingerprinted the male and released him pending felony charges. The male had no identification as he later reported crossing the border illegally three years before the contact. 

On 12/10/23, Black Hawk officers were on a foot patrol of the Monarch Casino. Officers were approached by a female who reported her boyfriend threatened to damage her property. Officers located the male who damaged a vehicle registered to the female. Officers booked the male into Gilpin County Jail on Domestic Violence Charges.

On 12/10/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a theft incident. A report was taken.

On 12/10/23, at approximately 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to a hit and run at the Lodge Casino Dakota parking lot. After leaving, the vehicle was located, and the driver was issued a summons and released.

On 12/10/23, at approximately 10:17 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on icy and snowy roads. The officer later released the driver with a summons.

On 12/10/23, at approximately 11:28 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, a female was identified and later issued a summons.

On 12/11/23, at approximately 3:45 a.m., an officer responded to a call of damaged property on the 5th floor of the Ameristar parking garage. On arrival, the officer observed a victim's tires had been slashed and deflated. Upon investigation, a male suspect driving a vehicle with stolen plates was observed stopping in front of the victim's vehicle earlier in the morning, getting out, and walking around the victim's vehicle before entering his car and leaving the parking garage. The investigation is pending.

On 12/12/23, the Black Hawk Police Department was notified of a possible intoxicated driver entering his vehicle and leaving the Ameristar parking garage at approximately 2 a.m. After officers were unable to locate the vehicle on the roadway, the vehicle was discovered parked with the engine off at the Hidden Treasure Trail Head parking lot. Because of the lack of evidence of driving actions, officers agreed to do a courtesy ride for the gentleman to his apartment in Central City. The party's vehicle remained parked at the Hidden Treasure Trailhead.

On 12/12/23, an officer responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred on the

9th floor of the parking garage between two employees who both were still on scene. Upon investigation, both parties agreed to handle the event civilly.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 1:48 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found drugs. A female party was later located and identified and was issued a summons before going to the hospital due to possible drug overdose.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 9 a.m., officers responded to Highway 119 and Main Street to clean up a camp.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 2:58 p.m., an officer arrived at the Horseshoe Casino to take custody of a firearm

recovered from a hotel room. The firearm was booked into property for safekeeping and the owner was contacted.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 7 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration in the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 7:07 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no plates attached at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a citation for no insurance and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 7:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary tag at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/13/23, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino in regards to a property damage incident. A report was taken.

On 12/13/23, at approximately 9:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino in reference to a trespass. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the party. The Wild Card manager served the male a trespass notice and he  signed the form and left without incident.

On 12/14/23, at approximately 7:42 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. An investigation to identify the suspects is ongoing.

On 12/14/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for being unable to maintain a lane.

On 12/14/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 500 block of Gregory Street. Officers contacted the driver who was called in as a REDDI report. Officers conducted an investigation and the driver was not intoxicated but had no driver's license. Officers issued a summons for driving without a license.

On 12/15/23, at approximately 4:54 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle matching the description of a burglary call occurring in Gilpin County. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were identified. Nothing criminal was determined to have occurred and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/15/23, at approximately 9:48 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper use of horn at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/16/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Monarch Casino parking garage. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a warning for failure to maintain lane.

On 12/15/23, officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the Horseshoe Hotel in regards to a child

screaming in a room. The child's welfare was checked on, a report was taken, and a summons was issued.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 12:39 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to 240 Main Street for an identification check on a male party on the gaming floor. Upon arrival, there were questions about

the ID that belonged to the male. The identification was a Guatemalan green card, however upon inspection, the photo did not seem to match the male party. The Lodge Casino confiscated the ID and the male was notified that the Division of Gaming would be contacting him to verify if it was him or not. 

On 12/16/23, at approximately 12:46 a.m., an officer responded to the Crooks Palace parking lot on a report of a

traffic accident. A report was completed.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 1:26 a.m., officers contacted a vehicle after receiving a REDDI report from the Lodge Casino. The driver was issued a warning, the suspect vehicle was parked by valet and officers cleared with a field interview report.

On 12/16/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers contacted the party and issued a summons for trespass.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 8 a.m., a welfare check was requested on a possible suicidal party. The party was contacted at the Lady Luck Casino. Suspect was not having thoughts of harming themselves. The suspect's girlfriend picked him up from the hotel.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 10:17 a.m., an officer completed a phone report of a stolen cell phone.

On 12/16/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Wild Card Casino to investigate a report of found drugs. A male suspect was identified but was not located on the scene. The drugs were seized and booked into evidence.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 2:58 p.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a vehicle that was keyed. A suspect was later identified.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 5:32 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill.

The bill was seized and a report was completed.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 7:15 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/16/23, officers responded to a non-injury accident at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Street. A report and accident form was completed.The at-fault party was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/16/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 Block of Main Street. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for driving without lights.

On 12/16/23, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino parking garage regarding a property damage incident. A report was taken.

On 12/16/23, at approximately 11:52 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper turn occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/17/23, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the Lodge Casino on a request for an ID check.

Officers contacted a suspect and completed a report to be forwarded to the Colorado Division of Gaming.

On 12/17/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated male. Officers contacted the male inside a vehicle in the 400 block of Main Street. Officers informed the male to not drive and he was given a ride to the Horseshoe Casino.

On 12/17/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a possible harassment charge. The reporting party did not want to press charges, they just wanted the incident to be documented.

On 12/17/23, an officer located a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Miners Mesa Road. The driver was contacted and taken into custody.

On 12/17/23, at approximately 4:42 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino valet on threats toward valet attendants. A suspect was identified and will be contacted.

On 12/17/23, a Black Hawk officer responded to 240 Main Street for an identification check on a party who was on the gaming floor without a physical ID. While clearing the party, it was also advised that the male party also had taken money from a slot machine that was not his. After verifying the male's identity, he was notified that a Division of Gaming officer would be contacting him in the next day or two.

On 12/17/23, at approximately 7:22 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a trespassing party. The suspect was issued a municipal summons and walked off the property.

On 12/17/23, a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 with a red 1998 Toyota Camry after observing the driver run a redlight when turning from Main Street onto Richman Street. Upon conducting the stop, the  officer let the driver off with a verbal warning.

On 12/18/23, at approximately 11:01 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/18/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for reported damage to a slot machine. A report was taken.

On 12/18/23, at approximately 9:35 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates. The officer later released the driver with a summons.

On 12/18/23, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to Wild Card Casino on a welfare check on a

female party who was exhibiting weird behavior on the gaming floor. Upon clearing the female party, she came back with warrants out of Black Hawk, Colorado, for failure to appear. The female was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/19/23, at approximately 4:33 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of possible domestic violence. After investigations, officers found that it was a verbal argument and nothing physical occurred.

On 12/19/23, at approximately 5:26 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino Hotel. It was reported that

housekeeping knocked on a hotel door and a male answered. He had a pocket knife in his hand. The male was contacted and stated he was doing something with the knife just before he answered the door. No one was threatened and the male said he apologized if the housekeeper was scared. The male identification was cleared.

On 12/20/23, at approximately 1:04 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/20/23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to 300 Main Street on a welfare check of a female party who was in the restroom for a prolonged period and who they believed was flushing a controlled substance down the toilet. Upon arrival, officers cleared the female party and were advised she was trespassed from Bally's properties. Officers cited the female party and escorted her off the property.

On 12/20/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop. The involved party was released with a warning for defective brake lights.

On 12/20/23, at approximately 5:43 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle driving on the Avenue of All-Stars. Contact was made with the driver who stated that he wondered what was up the road and was driving to check it out.

On 12/20/23, at approximately 6:53 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle for no headlights occurring at Highway 119 southbound mile marker 5.9. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/20/23, at approximately 11:50 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning for speeding.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers were called to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance.

A suspect was arrested and booked on charges and a report was completed.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 8:33 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a medical issue.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 1:07 p.m., a welfare check was conducted on an individual who was sleeping in his car at Bally's parking garage. The subject was asked to move along.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 8:21 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield right of way at Gregory Street and Highway 119 and failure to signal a lane change on Highway 119 north of Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 8:33 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates at Richman Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a ticket and a report was completed.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 11:13 p.m., an officer assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was arrested and a report was completed.

On 12/21/23, at approximately 8:35 p.m., an unknown male party did not pay his $355 Timberline Grill tab and left Ameristar Casino. Male party came back and was contacted by security. Male party left again and could not be found.

On 12/22/23, at approximately 7:07 a.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino sidewalk on a report of someone trespassing. The suspect was asked to leave the area.

On 12/22/23, officers were advised a male party was locked inside the public bathroom for a long period of time. The male subject exited and his welfare was checked. Nothing criminal was discovered to have occurred.

On 12/22/23, at approximately 11:23 a.m., officers responded to the Bally's North Casino on the report of found drugs. A substance believed to be methamphetamines and several pieces of paraphernalia were seized and booked into evidence to be destroyed.

On 12/22/23, at approximately 12:52 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a possible disturbance.

On 12/22/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for failure to maintain a lane.

On 12/22/23, officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for expired registration.

On 12/23/23, at approximately 12 a.m., Lodge Casino security contacted a male party gambling and asked for his ID for a gaming violation. The male party produced a Guatemalan passport that appeared to be fraudulent. The male party had a possible warrant which Colorado State Patrol interviewed and he was taken into custody.

On 12/23/23, Black Hawk officers responded to Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop at mile marker 4 on Highway 119. Officers and CSP detained a male party believed to have a felony warrant for his arrest. They confirmed the identity of the male was different from that of the felony suspect. The male was released at the scene.

On 12/23/23, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a male party attempted to assault another male party at the Ameristar. The male party was assaulted an hour prior that occurred in front of the Lady Luck Casino. Review of surveillance showed that the male party was assaulted by the other male party he tried to punch. Three people were charged with assault and one with harassment. Citations were issued. 

On 12/23/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a threat. Officers spoke to casino staff and reported a party threatened to return to the casino and cause a mass shooting event. Officers identified the suspect who had already left the property and the case is still active.

On 12/23/23, at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino and completed a report to be

forwarded to the Colorado Division of Gaming.

On 12/23/23, at approximately 8:55 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/24/23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a male party at the Monarch Casino who refused to leave. He eventually left and proceeded to urinate on outside service doors. The male party was served a citation for urinating in public.

On 12/24/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of lost property. It was determined a wallet was stolen. The suspect is currently unidentified and the case is active.

On 12/24/23, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to the Bally's North Casino on a report of a lost cell phone. The phone was not located and surveillance never observed the patron with her phone while in the casino.

On 12/24/23, at approximately 7:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to a theft at the Horseshoe Casino. The suspect ate at the BrewBrothers restaurant and left the restaurant without paying. The suspect was contacted at Monarch Casino and issued a summons for theft.

On 12/24/23, at approximately 9:07 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/24/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft that occurred at the bar on the casino floor. A suspect was identified via surveillance footage, however, officers were unable to locate the suspect in the City of Black Hawk. A police report was filed.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 12:07 a.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of the victim losing his money. The victim was later able to locate his money in his hotel room.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 2:51 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with no license plates at the intersection of Gregory Street and Main Street. The vehicle was recently purchased, was insured, and the driver was licensed. The driver was released.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 3:07 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on a REDDI report. Officers later placed a suspect into custody and released him with a summons.

On 12/25/23, officers were dispatched to the above location on a disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke with the RP who stated that she needed to collect her belongings from the room she was sharing with a male friend. Officers assisted without incident.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 6:52 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance. It was determined no crime had occurred and the involved had already separated.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 8:09 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a fake ID being presented. The ID card was seized and the suspect was warned of using fake IDs in the future.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 9:55 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving carelessly. The officer later released the driver with a summons.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 10:35 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an expired plate. It was later discovered that the driver had a warrant and was later transported to the Gilpin County Jail. The driver was also issued a summons.

On 12/25/23, at approximately 10:58 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted on Highway 119 for not turning on headlights when required. The party was instructed to turn the headlights on.

On 12/26/23, Black Hawk Police officers responded to Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed party being on the property. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the identity of the suspect and cited the party. The party was escorted off of the property.

On 12/26/23, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a welfare check on a male party. Officers spoke with the party and he was coherent and stated he was just waiting on his friends or was just going to drive home.

On 12/26/23, at approximately 4:05 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a report of a suspicious person using someone else's ID. Officers arrived and spoke with the female who explained her husband had passed away two weeks before and had booked a room for them. The female was upset but left without incident.

On 12/27/23, at approximately 12:35 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that drove through a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/27/23, at approximately 1:32 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no tags on the license plates. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/27/23, at approximately 1:39 a.m., an SUV was stopped for failure to dim a high output off road light. The driver was informed of the proper usage and given a warning. 

On 12/27/23, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to Century Casino with the

assistance of Gilpin County Sheriffs for a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage with three occupants believed to be using  drugs. Upon arrival, a traffic stop was made, and all parties were cleared through dispatch. No drugs or evidence of drugs was observed. 

On 12/27/23, at approximately 3:01 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was later identified and issued a summons.

On 12/27/23, at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on the report of a theft of property. A female suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

On 12/27/23, at approximately 7:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a felony menacing between two adult males. An investigation is ongoing.

On 12/28/23, at approximately 12:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to Bally's North Casino for the report of a physical

disturbance in progress. A suspect was arrested.

On 12/28/23, an officer conducted a welfare check at the Ameristar parking garage. The party was okay.

On 12/28/23, at approximately 4:43 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired temporary plates occurring at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/28/23, at approximately 5:52 a.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of damaged property. A male suspect has not yet been identified.

On 12/28/23, at approximately 9:01 p.m., a female suspect took a cell phone that was left on a slot machine at the Horseshoe Casino. The player's card identified a suspect along with surveillance video. The investigation is ongoing.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 7:41 a.m., an officer responded to Bally's West on a report of two parties trespassing. Only one party was trespassed and was issued a summons after being transported to the Gilpin County Jail for an outstanding warrant.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 11:53 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a suspect from a previous theft on the property. A male party was contacted and released on a summons for theft.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill.

The bill was seized and a report was completed.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 6:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.9. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 7:56 p.m., a female employee at the Ameristar had her backpack with belongings stolen from the women's locker room. The locker was not locked and there are no suspects in this case. Surveillance was unable to get a visual on the suspect either.

On 12/29/23, at approximately 8:16 p.m., a male party slapped a female party in the Monarch Hotel. This was DV-related and the male party was arrested for harassment.

On 12/29/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 as part of a multi-agency impaired driving enforcement. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for failure to maintain lane.

On 12/29/23, officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 6.5 on Highway 119 as part of a multi-agency impaired driving enforcement. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for running a red light.

On 12/29/23, officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 as part of a multi-agency impaired driving enforcement. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for speeding. Officers did not identify the driver due to another call for service. 

On 12/29/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an assault. Officers contacted the victim and

took a statement. Officers later located the male suspect and issued him a ticket for assault.

On 12/29/23, officers observed a party riding a bicycle on Main Street. The party would swerve back and forth, and side to side on Main Street in front of a large bus that was in motion going towards Gregory Street. This was the reason why the party was contacted. The suspect was given a verbal warning.

On 12/30/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Dakota Lot on a report of a vehicle break-in in progress. Officers contacted a male party fitting the description of the reported suspect. The male party stated he was trying to enter his vehicle. Officers confirmed that he was the registered owner of the vehicle and attempted a lockout. Officers were unable to open the vehicle so they instructed the registered owner to call AAA.

On 12/30/23, at approximately 6:02 p.m., officers responded to a traffic accident occurring at Main Street and Highway 119. A driver was cited and a report was completed.

On 12/30/23, at approximately 5:46 p.m., a male suspect driving a truck hauling a trailer struck another vehicle while it was stopped at a red light. The hit vehicle was on Richman Street attempting to turn left onto Main Street by the Monarch Casino. The driver of the hit vehicle said he could smell alcohol on the driver of the truck and the truck fled the scene after they agreed to move their vehicles out of the intersection. Driver of run vehicle has not been

identified or contacted yet. CSP attempted to locate the driver based on the address obtained from the trailer plate.

On 12/30/23, at approximately 7:40 p.m., male party attempted to get change at the Monarch Casino and handed a counterfeit $20 bill. The bill was confiscated and the party stated he believes he got it from a Dollar Store on 55th & Wadsworth.

On 12/30/23, at approximately 7:37 p.m., a female party hit another vehicle in front of her that was stopped at the Main Street light on Gregory Street. The female party fled the scene and crashed in Golden. She was served a summons at Golden PD.

On 12/31/23, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a lost cell phone.

Surveillance reviewed the video footage and an unknown female picked up the cell phone and left the casino. We were unable to identify the suspect.

On 12/31/23, at approximately 8:56 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights occurring at mile marker 5.9 of Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/31/23, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lights on at the intersection of Main Street and Richman Street The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 12/31/23, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and a report was completed.

On 12/31/23, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Crooks Palace for a female who was screaming outside in the parking lot. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female party was intoxicated and was being asked to leave Crooks Palace. The female party called a sober party to pick her up and officers stayed with her until the ride arrived on scene. An officer cleared with an FI contact.
