On 1/1/24, at approximately 12:16 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on the 200 block of Main Street.The driver was given a warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/1/24, at approximately 12:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to a verbal disturbance. No crime occurred and both involved parties separated. 

On 1/1/24, at approximately 3:46 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of Domestic Violence. Officers later placed a male party under arrest.

On 1/1/24, at approximately 4:21 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Parking garage located at 111 Richman Street on the report of a physical disturbance. One party was arrested.

On 1/1/24, an officer took a phone report for a theft of property from the bed of a truck parked at the Monarch Casino and Hotel parking garage. Suspect information was obtained and the incident is still under investigation.

On 1/1/24, at approximately 7:03 p.m., officers responded to 300 Main Street Bally's North Casino for a counterfeit 20 dollar bill. The suspect was contacted, and the bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 1/1/24, at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers received a report of a phone theft from Monarch Casino. A phone report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

On 1/2/24, at approximately 12:29 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Bull Durham Casino on the report of a male party attempting to use a fake ID at the bar. Before arrival, the male had left the property. As officers were leaving the establishment, casino staff identified the man who was walking southbound down Main Street. Upon hearing the officers call after him, the male party began to run away. Officers were able to stop the male party. Upon investigation, they were able to determine the male was wanted for warrants out of Texas and California. The male was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/2/24, at approximately 2:04 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a trespass. A male party was located and issued a summons.

On 1/2/24, responded to the Monarch Casino for a stolen cellular phone. A report was taken.

On 1/2/24, an officer received a counter report for a lost cellular phone at the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.

On 1/2/24, at approximately 11:52 p.m., officers were conducting an LPR sweep in the Ameristar garage. A license plate hit on the APLR system for an active warrant out of Black Hawk. The individual was contacted and taken to Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/3/24, Black Hawk officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of a male party refusing to leave the property. Upon the officer's arrival, the male party was already en route to his vehicle in the parking garage. After the party had left the property, casino employees advised that the male party had threatened a security employee and had used vulgar language on the gaming floor. Ameristar advised that they would be trespassing the male for 90 days and provided officers with a name and DOB. Officers cleared with an FI contact.

On 1/3/24, at approximately 4:07 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a Trespass. Officers later arrested a male party with warrants.

On 1/3/24, officers were dispatched to the above location for a medical call. Upon arrival, officers learned an elderly female had fallen out of her wheelchair into the street. Medical arrived and checked out the female. She refused to be transported.

On 1/3/24, at approximately 7:11 p.m., an officer responded to Highway 119 at the Richman Street intersection on a report of a vehicle accident. The at-fault driver was given a verbal warning and a report was completed.

On 1/3/24, at approximately 12:14 a.m., an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with no plates. The vehicle did not stop and the officer passed it onto the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.

On 1/3/24, at approximately 11:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was given a warning for expired license plates and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/4/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance between a male and female. The parties involved had left the scene before officers could arrive. Colorado State Patrol was given a vehicle description and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle at mile marker 4.5 on Highway 119. Black Hawk officers responded and conducted an investigation. No criminal activity was discovered and parties were given a business card.

On 1/4/24, officers were dispatched to Bally's West regarding an unwanted party. When officers arrived, they observed the suspect physically slap an employee across the face. A report was taken and a summons was issued.

On 1/4/24, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to the Black Hawk Post Office, located at 7340 Black Hawk Boulevard, on a citizen assist. A field interview report was completed.

On 1/4/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary plate on Highway 119 at mile marker 6.1. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/5/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates occurring at Highway 119 at mile marker 6.1. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/5/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of found narcotics. Officers collected the narcotics and located a suspect. Officers contacted a male suspect and issued a ticket for possession.

On 1/5/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft incident. A report was taken and a suspect was identified, contacted, and issued a summons.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 6:19 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on a report of dogs left inside a vehicle. The dogs were checked on and were ok.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 1:29 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a disturbance. A male party was contacted and placed on a mental health hold.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 3:41 p.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 5:17 p.m., an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a property damage accident. A report was completed.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 7:44 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar casino and the Gilpin Casino on a report to be forwarded to the Division of Gaming.

On 1/5/24, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Monarch Casino called about an unwanted male party that was trespassing. The party was given written notices once in 2021 and again in 2023 that he is not allowed on the property. Male party was issued a municipal citation for trespassing and released.

On 1/5/24, officers responded to the Bally's West parking garage regarding a theft of a wallet. A suspect was identified and a report was taken. Suspect was issued a summons for the theft.

On 1/6/24, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5 at Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and issued him a summons for driving while revoked and a proof of service.

On 1/6/24, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a male party was told to leave the Ameristar Casino for being disorderly. Party came back through a security checkpoint masking his appearance with a black hooded sweatshirt a short time later. Party was issued municipal summons for trespassing.

On 1/6/24, at approximately 7:44 p.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino to take a report of a stolen item. An investigation is ongoing.

On 1/6/24, at approximately 9:42 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration occurring at Richman Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 1/6/24, at approximately 10:39 a.m., a male party was gambling underage and without ID at the Bull Durham Casino. The male party was not a US citizen and was not sure of his date of birth. Male party said he was 16 yrs. old. The male party was treated like a juvenile and his older brother picked him up from the police department.

On 1/7/24, at approximately 12:02 a.m., an officer responded to Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 to assist Colorado State Patrol on a DUI investigation. A report was completed.

On 1/7/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers contacted a female suspect and issued her a ticket for trespassing.

On 1/7/24, at approximately 3:56 a.m., a male party was at Gilpin Casino after being trespassed before. The party was issued a summons.

On 1/7/24, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a REDDI vehicle in the 500 block of Gregory Street. Officers contacted the driver and issued a summons for no insurance and driving without a driver's license. Officers gave courtesy rides to the driver and passengers of the vehicle to the Horseshoe Casino.

On 1/7/24, an officer responded to the Bally's parking garage for a stolen vehicle. A report was taken.

On 1/7/24, an officer received a counter report of a stolen cellular phone from the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.

On 1/7/24, at approximately 7:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of harassment. Officers located the RP who advised a male had threatened to get a gun and kill her. The male suspect had left the scene and officers are still working on identifying the suspect.

On 1/7/24, Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a female party being shoved while she was walking out of the restroom. Upon investigation, the information that was provided did not match camera footage and other perceptions of the events. Officers cleared with a report and field interview contacts.

On 1/8/24, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a party refusing to provide his ID to collect his jackpot. Upon arrival, officers explained the process of collecting the jackpot and the male party agreed to provide his ID and collected his jackpot.

On 1/8/24, at approximately 5:16 p.m., the Bean and Creamery reported a theft from the business. Officers were dispatched and took a report. The case remains active.

On 1/8/24, at approximately 4:59 p.m., an officer was dispatched on a report of a male who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male in the ground level foyer area.

On 1/9/24, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers received a report from the Monarch Casino of a male party whose account was flagged. The male party was later arrested for warrants.

On 1/9/24, a Black Hawk officer responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of verbal disturbance occurring between a husband and wife. Upon arrival, both parties agreed to separate for the night. Officer cleared with a field interview contact.

On 1/9/24, at approximately 5:27 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespass. The male party was contacted by officers but he menaced Monarch employees. The party was later released with a summons.

On 1/9/24, an officer responded to the Monarch parking garage for a tampering incident. A report was taken.

On 1/9/24, an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino for a theft incident. A suspect was located and issued a summons.

On 1/9/24, at approximately 5:12 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving on Miners Road with expired tags. A vehicle stop was initiated and the driver was provided information on how to update his registration.

On 1/9/24, at approximately 9:09 p.m., officers were dispatched for a threat call. Dispatch advised that a male subject was heard talking about people getting killed. Officers contacted the subject who clearly had mental health issues but was not a danger to himself or others.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 11:37 a.m., an officer observed an adult male behaving erratically in the 200 block of High Street. The male party was contacted and his welfare was checked.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers observed an expired temporary registration tag on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119. The driver had a felony warrant out of Gilpin for Identity Theft and was jailed on the warrant. A warning was given for the expired registration.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 7:57 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a prohibited U-turn occurring at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 7:53 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the above location on a theft report. The officer learned the victim had left a jacket on a chair and a female stole it.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers observed a silver Jeep SUV in the Monarch Casino garage with a headlight out. Officers stopped the vehicle and advised him that his headlight was out. He was given a warning.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 9:41 p.m., the Monarch Casino requested officers for a theft and public urination. Officers responded and issued a summons to the male party.

On 1/11/24, at approximately 4:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to The Lodge Casino on the report of a male party asleep in their hotel lobby and refusing to wake up. Upon arrival, the man made statements involving suicide, hearing voices, and having ingested plastic plants. Black Hawk officers placed the male on an M1 hold.

On 1/11/24, at approximately 11:48 a.m., a report of a disturbance between two domestic partners occurred in the Spa of the Ameristar. A husband and his wife were yelling and a spa staff member heard what sounded like a slap. The spa staff member thought the male party might have slapped the female party as the female party was crying. Female party said that male party did not hit her and there were no visible signs of injury. A report was taken.

On 1/11/24, at approximately 3:43 p.m., the Horseshoe Hotel reported that a room was intentionally damaged by a male party who rented the room from 1/8/24 to 1/11/24. Damage was approximately $1,000. Charges are pending.

On 1/11/24, at approximately 4:55 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed at Highway 119 and Marchant Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/11/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a hit-and-run incident. A report was taken.

On 1/12/24, at approximately 3:38 a.m., a male party was seen walking through Black Hawk damaging Christmas decorations that were on the city light poles. A male party was arrested at approximately 3:42 a.m. for Criminal Mischief.

On 1/12/24, at approximately 7:48 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate occurring at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a summons and a field interview was completed.

On 1/12/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. A female party was issued a verbal warning for speeding and failure to maintain the lane. A field interview report was completed.

On 1/12/24, at approximately 8:43 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a weapons violation. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

On 1/12/24, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. Officers spoke to the owner of the property and surveillance is still reviewing to locate a suspect. The property was found in the locker room and the case was deemed unfounded.

On 1/13/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a criminal mischief incident. An arrest was made. A report was taken and a summons issued.

On 1/13/24, at approximately 11:39 a.m., a trailer was stolen out of the Ameristar parking garage. A male suspect cut the lock and drove off with the trailer in a silver SUV. There was a kayak on the back of the trailer that was stolen as well.

On 1/13/24, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft from the women's locker room. Officers spoke to the owner of a stolen jacket and due to the lack of camera coverage and number of possible suspects, the case is inactive at this time.

On 1/13/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a physical disturbance between two males. One male grabbed the other by the throat and pushed him. The male was issued a municipal summons for assault and trespassed from the hotel.

On 1/14/24, at approximately 8:42 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino to a party who wished to report a DV incident. A male party was later identified and upon investigation, was arrested for Harassment.

On 1/14/24, officers responded to a crash at mile marker 4 at Highway 119. Black Hawk officers assisted with traffic control as Colorado State Patrol completed their investigation.

On 1/14/24, at approximately 11:41 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the area of 300 Main Street on a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted a male party who was reported to be making threats to Bally's Casino staff. Officers spoke to the male party and determined the reported party did not want to do anything. The male suspect was released.

On 1/14/24, at approximately 11:54 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on a white Jeep Gladiator for running a red light at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was identified and informed about the traffic infractions and released on a verbal warning.

On 1/14/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Hotel for found property. A report was taken.

On 1/14/24, at approximately 8:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a wallet theft at The Lodge Casino. A report was taken. A suspect could not be identified.

On 1/14/24, at approximately 10:14 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a female being trafficked. An investigation took place and it was determined to not be the case.

On 1/15/24, at approximately 1 a.m., officers observed a vehicle drive through a red light from Richman Street onto Highway 119. The vehicle did not see the patrol car and was speeding down Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning.

On 1/15/24, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to assist a stalled vehicle located at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers had to use their push bumper to move the stalled vehicle out of the roadway. While moving the stalled vehicle, the patrol car slipped in the snow causing minor damage to the patrol car's bumper.

On 1/15/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a theft. During this time a suspect refused to comply with officers and physically resisted arrest.

On 1/16/24, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding found narcotics. A report was taken and a suspect was identified.

On 1/16/24, at approximately 6:14 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the above location for a hit and run accident. The officer observed the damaged vehicle and reviewed the surveillance footage. The footage showed the vehicle being struck and the suspect vehicle leaving the scene.

On 1/16/24, at approximately 4:35 p.m., a vehicle was seen driving southbound on Highway 119 with an unregistered license plate. Officers stopped the vehicle and informed them of the process of getting a vehicle properly registered.

On 1/16/24, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Gilpin Dispatch reported a driver turned over on the parkway at mile marker 6.5. The driver was conscious and alert. Gilpin Ambulance transported the driver for a medical assessment. The vehicle was towed.

On 1/16/24, at approximately 8:44 p.m., dispatch received a report of a verbal argument happening on a shuttle. The parties were separated and the victim did not want to press charges.

On 1/17/24, at approximately 12:31 p.m., dispatch received a report of theft at the Horseshoe Casino. A woman's wallet was stolen out of her purse. A report was taken.

On 1/17/24, at approximately 3:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers were flagged down by a passerby walking down Gregory Street. Officers were informed that someone left a phone on the fire extinguisher in the Carriage House. Officers were able to retrieve the phone.

On 1/17/24, at approximately 10:07 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar garage on a report of a hit and run. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

On 1/17/24, at approximately 11:04 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a guest putting their hands on another guest. A suspect was later identified and issued a summons for Harassment.

On 1/18/24, at approximately 12:07 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Gregory Street. The vehicle did not have visible plates. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle and learned that it was a rental vehicle and they did have paperwork attached to the front and back windows of the vehicle. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning along with a business card.

On 1/18/24, at approximately 8:51 a.m., an officer responded to the area of Highway 119 and Richman Street on a report of two people fighting. The two parties had separated and left the area before the officer’s arrival.

On 1/18/24, a woman called the Black Hawk Police Department to report an assault that occurred at the Ameristar Casino on 10/20/23. A report was taken.

On 1/18/24, at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of two intoxicated parties. The parties were located and contacted inside the parking garage. One of the involved parties was later taken into custody for an unrelated outstanding warrant and transported to jail without incident.

On 1/18/24, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of Main Street. Officers contacted the female driver and released her on a verbal warning for failure to display registration.

On 1/18/24, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of criminal tampering. Officers contacted the owner of the property and took a statement. The case is inactive as there is no suspect information.

On 1/18/24, at approximately 7:26 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle on Gregory Street fail to make a complete stop at a red light and turn right onto Highway 119. The officer stopped the vehicle on Highway 119 at approximately mile marker 6.5. The driver was released on a warning.

On 1/18/24, at approximately 7:51 p.m., a male party stole a coat that was on a slot machine at the Gilpin Casino. The party was identified and contacted to return the coat. Theft charges are pending.

On 1/19/24, at approximately 1:49 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/19/24, at approximately 7:20 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The party was contacted and later issued a summons for violation of a protection order.

On 1/19/24, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a male trespassing on the Z Casino Property. The male party was contacted in the 400 block of Gregory Street and advised not to return to the properties owned by the Z Casino.

On 1/19/24, at approximately 1:44 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The party was taken to detox and then transported to the hospital.

On 1/19/24, at approximately 10:11 p.m., a wallet was stolen from Bally's North Casino. A male party was seen picking the wallet off the floor and putting it in his pants. Surveillance is reviewing camera footage and player card information. Charges are pending identification of the suspect.

On 1/19/24, at approximately 11:39 p.m., officers contacted an intoxicated party at the Lodge Casino. The party was issued a verbal warning for urination in public and given a courtesy ride. A field interview report was completed.

On 1/20/24, officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers contacted a male party well known to the police department. Officers did not cite the male as he had not been given any formal paperwork. The casino gave the male the formal paperwork and he was escorted off property.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 12:48 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 7:32 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a disturbance. It was determined that no criminal charges occurred.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 3:44 a.m., dispatch received a report of a theft at the Monarch Casino. A phone report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 6:41 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for an ID check. The female suspect was contacted and was released on pending charges.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use their turn signal on multiple occasions. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 8:29 p.m., a male party with a male accomplice stole a backpack inside the Ameristar Casino and subsequently entered the victim's vehicle and stole items from there. Security was able to identify the suspects. Arrest warrants will be issued.

On 1/20/24, at approximately 11:39 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance. Upon investigation, officers did not have enough evidence to make an arrest and later released the parties.

On 1/21/24, at approximately 12:17 a.m., an officer took a report of damaged property at Bally's West Casino. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

On 1/21/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a male on the property who was trespassed. The male was issued a municipal summons and escorted off the property.

On 1/21/24, at approximately 1:21 a.m., officers responded to Bally's North Casino to check the welfare of an individual. The subject was determined to have active warrants for their arrest but they were released on a jail refusal. A report was completed.

On 1/20/24, officers responded to a welfare check at the Monarch Casino for an intoxicated female. The female was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was transported to St. Anthony's for an alcohol evaluation.

On 1/21/24, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a guest breaking objects. Upon investigations, officers discovered that two parties were having a verbal argument and no property was damaged. Parties were cooperative and were separated for the night and no one was charged.

On 1/21/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the reports of two males about to fight. One male left and the other male was yelling at staff. The male was contacted and was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

On 1/21/24, at approximately 11:02 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was eventually located somewhere else and was not stolen from the casino garage.

On 1/21/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department contacted a male party at the Monarch Casino per security's request for possible public intoxication. The male party did not appear to be intoxicated but was upset he was missing his duffle bag. A business card was given to the male party to file a report if he did not find his duffle bag. The male left the property without issue.

On 1/21/24, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino for found property. A report was taken.

On 1/21/24, at approximately 8:17 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed not having its headlights on at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a warning.

On 1/21/24, officers conducted a routine area check of Avenue of Allstars when a suspicious vehicle was found. The vehicle and party inside the vehicle were contacted. The party stated they were just up there sending a text message. Officers explained that the area was private property. The vehicle left the area.

On 1/22/24, officers were dispatched to the Bally's Parking Garage regarding a REDDI report. Upon contact, the officers observed the party involved in the back seat of the sedan. Officers told them if they had been drinking to not drive. A business card was given.

On 1/22/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding an unwanted party. Officers arrived, made contact, and the unwanted party left the general area and headed towards the elevators for the parking garage.

On 1/22/24, at approximately 5:21 a.m., officers took a report for lost property that occurred at the Monarch Casino. The item of interest had not been located.

On 1/22/24, at approximately 10:08 p.m., officers received a call of a possible drunk driver at the 5800 block of Highway 119. The driver was located and was not displaying any signs of intoxication. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 1/22/24, at approximately 10:35 p.m., officers talked with a party having mental health issues but not a mental health crisis and directed them to the right resources.

On 1/23/24, at approximately 2:09 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle bearing a fictitious plate at 488 Main Street. The plate was seized and the driver was summoned to court.

On 1/23/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed individual. The party was contacted and had warrants for their arrest. The party was arrested for the warrants and issued a summons for trespass.

On 1/23/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino parking garage regarding a trespassed party. The party was contacted and arrested on their warrants. There was another female party who was in the vehicle related to the trespassed party. She was contacted and identified. Officers learned she had warrants out for her arrest as well. She was placed under arrest for one of her warrants. A report was taken.

On 1/23/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was released with a warning for excessive speed.

On 1/23/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a blue container containing white and blue pills. There was no owner information. The pills were booked into evidence for destruction.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers received a report of an intoxicated party entering a vehicle at 245 Main Street. The vehicle was stopped for a tinted license plate cover. The driver was not the party in question and was released with a warning as there were no visual signs of impairment.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 6:29 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a verbal disturbance. It was determined that no crime occurred and the parties were identified.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 7 a.m., officers were dispatched regarding a trespass. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the suspect. The suspect was cooperative and believed she was not trespassing. Casino management requested she leave the premises and not return.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to the above location in reference to a small amount of white powder found in a hotel room. Officers arrived and took possession of the white substance. A field test revealed it was methamphetamine. The substance was logged into BHPD evidence.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 9:08 p.m., officers received a report of a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located at the 5800 block of Highway 119. The driver was stopped and determined not to be intoxicated. He was given a verbal warning for defective tail lights.

On 1/24/24, at approximately 11 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of found drugs. The officers arrived and learned that the suspect was no longer on scene. Officers seized the drugs and booked it into evidence.

On 1/25/24, at approximately 2:05 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and no plate visibility on Highway 119 at mile marker 6.1. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/25/24, at approximately 2:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving occurring on Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/25/24, at approximately 4:12 a.m., officers contacted a suspect on suspicion of trespassing at the Lady Luck Casino. The suspect was given a summons.

On 1/25/24, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of damaged property at the Ameristar Casino. A report was taken. No suspects have been identified.

On 1/26/24, the Black Hawk Police Department was notified of a previously unreported burglary at the Ameristar Casino on 8/22/23. A report was taken and a male and female suspect have been identified. The suspects are also linked to a 1/22/24 burglary at the same location.

On 1/26/24, at approximately 1:07 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a party trespassing. A male suspect was contacted, issued, and released on a summons.

On 1/26/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a welfare check. A male was contacted and checked by paramedics. Casino staff agreed to let the male sleep in his vehicle. The casino staff then asked for a second contact saying they wanted him off the property. The male was advised to leave the property and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/26/24, at approximately 9:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate occurring on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/27/24, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a female that appeared to have hanged herself. A report was taken.

On 1/27/24, the Black Hawk Police Department received a call of a disturbance in progress at the Monarch Casino Hotel. Investigation revealed it was a verbal dispute between a husband and wife. No criminal charges were filed.

On 1/27/24, at approximately 11:18 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage for a hit-and-run report. An investigation is ongoing.

On 1/27/24, at approximately 1:26 p.m., an officer contacted two parties in a verbal disturbance at Gregory and Cooper Streets.

On 1/27/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was given a verbal warning for failing to yield for a traffic signal. A field interview report was completed.

On 1/27/24, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on a report of a party trespassing. The subject was detained, escorted off the property and a report was completed.

On 1/27/24, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a male refusing to leave. It was determined the male was upset because he was accused of a gaming violation. A report was taken and forwarded to the Department of Gaming for investigation.

On 1/28/24, at approximately 12 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle bearing no license plate in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver had a temporary tag on the front passenger area and was given a warning for mounting the plate.

On 1/28/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the bus turnaround from the Lodge Casino. The driver was released on a verbal warning for defective brake lights.

On 1/28/24, at approximately 2:59 p.m., officers saw a vehicle at the 5800 block of Highway 119 bearing a fictitious Colorado temporary tag. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited.

On 1/28/24, at approximately 5:38 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim's suitcase was taken out of the car. There is no suspect information.

On 1/28/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8 for a vehicle that had no rear lights on. The driver turned the lights on and was released on a warning.

On 1/28/24, at approximately 8:22 p.m., officers observed a vehicle run a stop sign exiting the Monarch garage. The vehicle then was paced at a high rate of speed in a 15 mph zone. When the vehicle was stopped its temporary plate expired 2/22 and the driver's license was suspended. A citation was issued.

On 1/28/24, Black Hawk Police officers responded to Horseshoe Casino for assistance of agency for the Colorado Division of Gaming regarding an underage male gaming on the casino floor. Upon arrival, officers took the male's information and pulled a report to relay to the Colorado Department of Gaming.

On 1/28/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino about an ID check. Officers learned the suspect was trespassed from the Monarch Casino. A report was taken and a citation was issued.

On 1/29/24, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to Horseshoe Casino on the report of a cash theft that occurred at Lady Luck Casino. Officers spoke with the suspect and issued a citation. The suspect was escorted off of the property.

On 1/29/24, at approximately 1:16 p.m., officers saw a vehicle bearing no plates in the 6300 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning due to specific circumstances.

On 1/29/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a possible missing person. After following up at a later time with the reporting party, the officer was informed the missing person had returned home.

On 1/30/24, at approximately 4:26 p.m., officers were dispatched in reference to a REDDI report. The suspect was blocked into the 6000 block of Highway 119. The suspect was contacted and arrested for a DUI. The suspect also had four outstanding warrants for his arrest and was jailed at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office jail on the warrants.

On 1/30/24, at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers responded to 488 Main Street on a verbal argument. Officers resolved the issue and both parties went their separate ways.

On 1/31/24, a gray Hyundai Elantra exited the parking garage of the Saratoga Casino and turned right onto Gregory Street and then right onto Highway 119. The driver did not have their headlights on so the officer conducted a traffic stop at Bally's parking garage. The officer gave a verbal warning and a field interview was conducted.

On 1/31/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched for a wellness check at the Saratoga Casino parking garage. Upon arrival, officers observed a male sleeping in the back of a 2008 Mercury Merino. After waking him up he verbally identified himself but did not have a physical ID. The suspect claimed that the vehicle was not his but that he had permission to be inside it. The officers advised the suspect that there was a strict no camping policy in the City of Black Hawk and that he could not be asleep in the back of the vehicle. Officers also advised that without speaking to the registered owner of the vehicle and confirming if he had permission to be in the vehicle, they could not let him back inside the vehicle. The suspect gave us the phone number of the registered owner, and an officer used his work cell phone to call them. Upon speaking with the registered owner, she initially claimed to not know the suspect. After describing the suspect, she declared she actually did know him. Officers asked the registered owner if she was aware her vehicle was in Black Hawk. The registered owner stated that she thought they were borrowing her vehicle to go to the store and would be right back. Confirming again if the suspect had permission to be in the vehicle, the registered owner stated yes. We cleared the call with a field interview contact.

On 1/31/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino Hotel regarding a suicidal party. Medics took over when they arrived on the scene.
