Jacqueline Hart Gibson, Black Hawk. The October 23, 2019, regular meeting of the Black Hawk City Council met immediately following the budget work session, which was called to order at 2 p.m. the same day. All board members, Mayor Spellman and the city attorney and manager, were in attendance. There were no changes to the agenda proposed. The minutes from the previous meeting, held October 9, 2019, were approved.
In public hearings, an ordinance amending the City of Black Hawk municipal code, chapter 15, which refers to sign code, was continued to the upcoming regular meeting scheduled November 6, 2019.
In action items, a resolution accepting the bid from Triple C Communications for the purchase of Kenwood mobile and pack set radios in an amount not to exceed $136,982.39 was approved unanimously.
City manager, Stephen Cole, did not have anything to report. City attorney, Corey Hoffman, did not have anything to report, but did call an executive session following the brief regular meeting. The request for an executive session was approved and the meeting adjourned a few minutes past 3 p.m.
