On 8-1-18 officers performed a traffic stop at MM 5.8 of Hwy. 119. The driver was arrested for driving while revoked as a habitual traffic offender.


On 8-1-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. There is no suspect information.


On 8-1-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of lost property containing a controlled substance. A report was taken.


On 8-2-18 officers contacted a party smoking meth in the Monarch Parking Garage. The party was contacted and issued a citation for use of a controlled substance.


On 8-2-18 officers responded to 401 Main St. on a report of an attempted motor vehicle theft.


On 8-3-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to assist Division of Gaming with an investigation. A male party was charged with fraudulent acts and was trespassed from the property.


On 8-3-18 an officer responded to the parking garage at 255 Main Street on the report of a traffic accident. The accident resulted in damage to property.


On 8-3-18 officers responded to the Monarch Casino on report of stolen tools. The suspect was eventually contacted and taken into custody.


On 8-3-18 an officer took a telephone report regarding lost property. The items of property had been lost on 7-13-18, while the victim was in the 100 block of Main Street.


On 8-4-18 at approximately 12:44 a.m., officers responded to 111 Richman St. on a report of found drugs. A report was completed regarding the incident.


On 8-3-18 officers responded to the KMM Parking Garage on the report of a physical disturbance in progress. One male party was taken into custody.


On 8-4-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of lost/stolen property. A report was taken, but no suspects were identified.


On 8-4-18 officers observed a traffic violation at the intersection of Main Street and Richman Street. A male party was issued a summons for DUI.


On 8-4-18 an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for reports of a male party visibly intoxicated and possibly vomiting on the side of the Isle. The party was contacted.


On 8-4-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on reports of a male party with multiple felony warrants. The party was contacted and taken into custody.


On 8-5-18 officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of found drugs. A report was taken.


On 8-5-18 at approximately 12:50 a.m., an officer responded to the Red Dolly Casino on the report of a counterfeit ten-dollar bill. The bill was seized and the suspect who passed the bill was identified. A report was taken.


On 8-8-18 at approximately 12:26 a.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street on a call of a male party using drugs in his vehicle. The male was contacted and issued a summons for unlawful use of a controlled substance and released.


On 8-7-18 an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a harassment. A warrant for the suspect’s arrest was later submitted.


On 8-8-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance between a male and female. The female party was arrested for harassment (DV) and transported to Gilpin County Jail.


On 8-10-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Parking Garage on a REDDI Report. One male was taken into custody for driving under the influence.


On 8-10-18 an officer responded to a non-injury accident in the Saratoga Valet area. Photographs were taken, and a report was generated.


On 8-10-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party acting irrationally in the parking garage. The suspect was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.


On 8-10-18 an officer investigated possible fraudulent activity occurring at 131 Marchant Street. There is suspect information and the situation is under further investigation.


On 8-11-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a person with a possible warrant. Two individuals were taken into custody.


On 8-11-18 at approximately 5:11 p.m., officers responded to the Black Hawk Fire Department on a report of damage to city property. A report was completed regarding the incident.


On 8-11-18 at approximately 10:41 p.m., officers responded to 340 Main Street on a report of a lost phone. A report was completed regarding the incident.


On 8-12-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage level 9 regarding a hit and run. The suspect has been identified and agreed to exchange information.


On 8-12-18 a male party at the Ameristar Casino called 911 requesting help. Upon officers’ arrival, the party made suicidal statements. The male party was transported by medics to the hospital.


On 8-12-18 at approximately 6:30 a.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of found drugs. The drugs were seized, and through surveillance, a suspect was identified.


On 8-12-18 officers were dispatched to Golden Gates Casino regarding a counterfeit bill. A report was taken.


On 8-12-18 an officer responded to a medical call at the Red Dolly parking lot. Upon investigation, the party was treated, found to have an active warrant and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 8-13-18 an officer took a report on a possible theft of a bag at the Isle Casino. The bag was later returned to the owner by a person claiming he had mistakenly taken the bag. Nothing was reported missing.


On 8-13-18 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a welfare check on a male party. The male party was taken into protective custody and transported to detox.


On 8-15-18 an officer took a telephone report of lost property, which had occurred at the Monarch Casino on 8-4-18. The item missing is a pair of hearing aids.


On 8-15-18 officers responded to a private tow at the Isle Casino parking garage. Plates were taken from the vehicle for destruction.


On 8-16-18 an officer took a report from the Monarch Casino for a possible harassment.


On 08-17-18 an officer received a phone report of a cell phone theft that occurred at the Ameristar on 8-16-18. There is no suspect information.


On 8-18-18 at approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino to contact a suspect from a previous drug incident. During the investigation and interview, it was determined that another involved male party had committed a gaming crime. The Colorado Division of Gaming responded and issued the male party a summons.


On 8-17-18 officers were dispatched to contact a reporting party regarding work-place issues at the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.


On 8-18-18 officers responded to the KMM Parking Garage on the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. No suspects could be located, and a report was taken.


On 8-17-18 an officer received a phone report from a male stating his cell phone was stolen 8-16-18 at the Ameristar Casino. The victim kept the same cell phone number and obtained a new cell phone. When he logged into his Facebook account, it brought him to an unknown male party’s account. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined a coincidence. Surveillance video was obtained, and officers are attempting to contact an accomplice of the unknown suspect. A report was taken.


On 8-19-18 at approximately 10:25 a.m., an officer conducted a welfare check of a male who was sleeping in his truck on level 2 of the Isle Parking garage. The officer was advised that the party inside the vehicle had a felony warrant, but the male party was stating he was a victim of identity theft. The male produced paperwork stating he was a victim of ID theft out of another jurisdiction. He was brought to the police department and released once it was determined the warrant was not for him.


On 8-19-18 at approximately 3:17 p.m., an officer responded to the Black Hawk Fire Department on the report of a male party who walked into the fire house reporting he had a possible drug overdose. Upon arrival, the officer determined the male had ingested a substantial amount of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, heroin and marijuana. Several used needles were put into a needle container and the party was taken by medics. Shortly after medics went en route, they were calling for emergent cover but did not give a location. The officers used lights and sirens as they traveled down the canyon, and they found the ambulance crew on Highway 6, just west of the Highway 119 junction. The overdosed party had fought with medics, so they sedated him and continued transporting him to the hospital. No injuries to officers, medics or the suspect occurred.


On 8-19-18 an officer took a report of a hit and run accident at the Ameristar Casino. No suspect information was attainable.


On 8-19-18 an officer conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 119 at Mill St. The driver returned with an active warrant and was taken into custody.


On 8-20-18 an officer observed a vehicle weaving on Highway 119 and Black Hawk St. He conducted a traffic stop and believed the driver was intoxicated. The driver agreed to do roadside maneuvers and failed. The driver was placed into custody and transported to Gilpin County Jail.


On 8-21-18 officers responded to Selak Street and Hwy. 119 on the report of a hit and run traffic accident. There is no suspect information.


On 8-21-18 officers were dispatched to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a counterfeit ten-dollar bill. The bill was seized and placed into evidence at the police department.


On 8-24-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino regarding a lost wallet. Information was gathered for the wallet and the owner. After conducting an investigation, the wallet was returned to the victim.


On 8-21-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a welfare check. Three of the occupants in the hotel room were contacted and arrested on warrants.


On 8-22-18 an officer was dispatched to the Mountain Life Park parking lot on the report of damaged cement pillars. It is unknown how and/or when the damage occurred. A report was taken.


On 8-23-18 officers took a report of damage to a vehicle. A suspect has been identified but could not be located.


On 8-25-18 officers responded to the KMM parking garage on a report of two parties smoking marijuana in the elevator. The parties were issued a summons.


On 8-25-18 an officer received a phone call of a possible vehicle break-in. A report was taken, and surveillance has been requested.


On 8-25-18 officers responded to the Gilpin Valet area on reports of a male and female arguing about drugs left in a vehicle. A consensual search was completed, and nothing was found. Both parties went their separate ways.


On 8-25-18 at approximately 10:44 p.m., officers responded to 401 Main Street guest safety on a report of a lost cell phone. A report was completed regarding the incident.


On 8-25-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. A suspect was located and arrested.


On 8-26-18 officers responded to the Isle Casino parking garage on the report of a non-injury accident. One of the involved parties was issued a citation for unsafe backing.


On 8-26-18 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance. A report was taken.


On 8-26-18 an officer noticed a broken window on a vehicle. The registered owner was contacted and a report was taken.


On 8-26-18 an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on reports of a possible hit and run.


On 8-26-18 an officer was dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a theft of a cell phone. Suspect information was obtained, and the case is under further investigation.
