Nederland will celebrate the 4th of July holiday with a parade at noon on the 4th. In typical Nederland fashion there will be fire trucks, tractors, bicycles and cars making their way down the route. There will also be alpacas, yaks, and pack burros from the Western Pack Burro Ass-ociation.
Smokey the Bear will be there to remind generations of people that we are instrumental in preventing forest fires. Music will be heard along the route and different community organizations will be part of the town’s celebration.
There will be two Grand Marshalls in this year’s parade. Both new to their positions, Town Marshall Jennifer Fine- Loven and Fire Chief Mike Scott will be honored at the 4th of July parade. This is an opportunity for the Nederland community to show Chief Scott and Marshall Fine-Loven how much gratitude we have for them and the work they do for us every day.
Come and enjoy Nederland’s 4th of July parade at noon with your friends and family and your community. Meet someone new and smile.
