Women entrepreneurs meet

Posted

Brandy Victory, Nederland. All my senses are alive and I feel so full! The smell of cologne, curry and a Mexican breakfast taco all waft by my cozy seat on this tiny airplane while watching the spectacular sunrise through the looking glass atop the wing. The smoky clouds pass by, as I reminisce about the Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners of Greater Nederland (WEB) 2 year anniversary party. It’s amazing how full life becomes when we fill ourselves up with loving connections, and this celebration was certainly one to remember.

Thank you, Eileen Purdy, for bringing us together in this amazing networking group, WEB, and for creating the tether that holds us tight. It’s a dream come true for all of us to have the gift of these friendships and support in our sweet mountain community. Life is even richer because of these beautiful connections.

I could go on and on thanking all those who make this monthly experience a reality, and for this particular anniversary party I’ll keep it to this: thank you Leah Haney (with www.breakfreepinatas.com) for creating one of your amazing hand-made piñatas!  We used it to smash our intentions and loving wishes into existence! What a powerful and fun time!

It was so joyful to see all the women excitingly write down a few things on small, colored pieces of paper that were then used as confetti to fill the piñata.  One was a dream they desire to experience, and another was a heart-felt note to another women in the group. Then, rather than candy, the piñata was filled with these loving and intentional confetti papers! Whack after whack, the piñata finally broke open, the wishes spilled out, and each woman grabbed a sweet empowering message from another sister. What a grand time sharing each other’s messages with each other, so much love!

It was a riot, from the ladies beating the piñata with a stick, that seemed to continually break each time it was swung, to the women rushing around to get their wish as it landed on the floor. I believe we all left feeling a little more connection, a little more loved, and best of all, a part of a rich community of women who bring something special to the world.

It’s oh-so-easy to hermit away in the quiet of the mountains. Heck, it’s a big reason so many people move here, to get away from the crowds. And then find themselves living life vicariously thru “friends” on social media, projecting their favorite version of themselves into the matrix, and totally avoiding real, authentic connections.

And what does this do to your soul?

Your soul is pure Essence, which emanates through your body into physical existence. Your unique expression in the physical world is a reflection of That.Often colored by the experiences of the past, the hurts of long ago, the beliefs that you hold about yourself, that your ego grabs onto for dear life as if those memories are still controlling your life today, which likely they are. And all along, your soul yearns for something deeper, to remember its Truth, the connection to Something Greater, and when you step up for yourself, to create experiences that reflect this connection, it shows up in the most profound, joyful loving ways. Your connection to the Essence that created you, moves thru you, guides you, can be easily remembered when you are in connection with others. Especially when it is with a band of high-vibrational women, stepping up, not just for themselves, but for the love of all.

If you have an inkling of curiosity about how you too can experience more love and connection in your life, I encourage you to join us at our next gathering.
