Dear Editor,
Thank you all for your support and kind words as I transition into retirement. It’s been an honor to serve our mountain community as one of your Gilpin County commissioners.
My friend, Lynn Hirshman, wrote how she and her husband John needed help with their home in preparation to move to Texas. I need to say that I only played a small part in Operation Hirshman! Roxy Goss, Eric Douglas and a cadre of Gilpin Democrats were the real movers and shakers. I’m thankful to Lynn for that memory and the reminder of how it really takes a community to help each other.
Congratulations once again to our new commissioner, Susan Berumen! She’ll do a great job for our county.
Yours,
Linda Isenhart
