Starting this week, green collection boxes can be found throughout Gilpin County for the first Annual Winter Clothing Drive and Swap sponsored by the Gilpin County Archwood 4-H Club. Your donation of gently used and new winter clothing items can be deposited at the following locations until November 17th:
Gilpin County School (Front entrance, Atrium, MPR)
Gilpin Recreation Center
Gilpin County Library
EAGLESmart
Annie Oakley’s
Easy Street Casino
Mountain Goat Gallery
CTK Church
Collection of winter clothing for men, women and children will continue from now until Thursday, November 17th.
The clothing swap event will happen on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 230 Norton Drive (Extension Barn next to Gilpin Recreation Center.) Everyone is welcome to come and pick out freshly washed clothing to meet their needs for the winter. All remaining items will be donated to organizations dedicated to supporting the local community.
