Not all photos need a fancy camera. I have an 800 mm lens but sometimes I still like to use my phone because sometimes you time it just right to get a simple yet beautiful photo.
I've spent many weekends in RMNP but this particular day was so peaceful. It was right before the summer crowds hit and I was the only one at many of my spots in the park.
Some friends have seen this photo and mentioned that you can feel a higher power in it. Reminding us to stop and appreciate the simple things.

Not a lot of people know that hummingbirds are
only native to the Americas. No other continents
have the pleasure of seeing these little
creatures. That's why they are so special to me.
Every April I start tracking their migration,
putting a small bet on the first day I will see/
hear them. My ears are specialized in detecting
their high pitch buzzzzz. The day I do spot them,
summer officially starts in my mind. I know we
will have one more snowstorm, and then it's over
until fall. The day I do spot them, is my favorite
day of the year!
