Eagles Teen Program – After School Monday-Thursday 4:15 - 7:15 p.m.
Eagles is an out-of-school program at the Gilpin County Community Center. We provide free extracurricular opportunities and a space to hang out for youth ages 12 and up through high school graduation. All activities and field trips are planned by our youth program assistants and youth leadership team with the support of our adult program coordinator.
We’ll be providing transportation from Gilpin County school and will be running an after-school program from 4 to 7:15 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays! This daily program is free after a $25 annual registration fee.
After School Enrichment Camp
Monday through Thursday, 4 - 6 p.m. Ages 5 through 12. $8 a day for residents. Have the kids ride the bus from school to the Community Center for our licensed childcare. All day Friday care available from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. for $45 a day.
Parents Night Out
Leave the kids with us for a fun-packed evening! They’ll get to enjoy dinner provided by us, along with fun crafts, swimming, and activities! Kids can wear their PJ’s! Bring your swimsuit and towel! April 25 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Ages 5 through 12. $25 per child or $15 if enrolled in Friday Camp on April 25.
Pottery With Rebecca
March 24 through May 19. Ages 14 and up. $200 for 8 weeks. Class price includes glazes, firing, open studio time, and 25 pounds of clay. Additional clay for additional cost. Beginners are welcome! Wedging, trimming, handles, basic shapes like vessels, mugs, and different types of bowls. Let’s work on refining our techniques so we can make these important forms the best they can be! Experienced students will learn a lot and improve their skills as we work together to analyze technique.
Please bring an old towel or rag for personal use in the studio.
2025 Youth COED Baseball
June 2 – August 2. There will be six games. Saturdays with Clear Creek Metro Recreation. Volunteer Coaches are needed! T-ball: Ages 5 and 6, $50 per resident, $60 per non-resident. Coach Pitch: Ages 7 and 8, $65 per resident, $78 per non-resident. Minors: Ages 9 through 11, $65 per resident, $78 per non-resident. Majors: Ages 12 through 14, $65 per resident, $78 per non-resident. Practice starts on June 2. Days to be determined by each coach. June 14 is the season opener. No games will be held July 5 through 12. All participants are welcome to join the league at a special Colorado Rockies game on Saturday, June 21 at 7:10 p.m. The teams will get to parade onto the field at the beginning of the game!
Spring Wined-Up 5k
Set your pace… run your race! All ages are welcome to participate and attend. If you are 21+ and wish to have wine, you will be required to provide identification. Light snacks and other non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Saturday, May 17, 1 - 4 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Gilpin County Community Center. $40 for aged 21 and up, $20 for ages 12-20, and $10 for those aged 11 and under.
Youth Summer Camp 2025
June 9 through August 12, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ages 4 (if they will be 5 by October 15) through 12 (6th grade). Field trips every Wednesday. Please send your camper with cold lunch, two snacks, athletic shoes, weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, swimsuit, and a towel. Registration is now open! Parents must fill out child registration and information packets before enrollment. Daily rate is $45 per resident and $54 non-resident rate. Field Trip Days are $55 for resident rate and $64 for non-resident rate. $25 discount for full week.
Swim Lessons - New Session
For swimmers with little to no experience. We will learn about submerging the face, buoyancy, supported floating, bubble blowing, water entry and exit, introduction to alternating arm action, supported kicking, basic water safety rules, how to get help and reach assist without wearing a life jacket. Monday and Thursdays May 5 through May 22. Level 1: 4:30 - 5 p.m., Level 2: 5:05 - 5:35 p.m., Level 3: 5:40 - 6:10 p.m. $55 for residents and $65 non-residents. Gilpin County Fair 2025
The annual Gilpin County Fair will be July 11 through July 13, 2025. Now accepting booth applications. Join us on fair committee, or as fair sponsor or general volunteer. Main events include the 4-H horse and Livestock Shows, Rough Stock Rodeo, Ranch Rodeo, and more!
Coed Adult Spring Volleyball League
Join us on Wednesday nights for our Spring Volleyball League! This is an 8 week session, April 2 through May 21, Wednesdays, 6 - 8 p.m. Coed and Ages 14 and up. 4 versus 4, $200 per team. The league tournament is Saturday, May 24. Register online or at the Community Center.
Lifeguard Training
June 6 through June 8. American Red Cross certification. Ages 15 and up for class and ages 16 and up for employment. CPR, AED, First Aid, and lifeguarding training. Must complete the online portion prior to in-person class. Register at the Community Center or online.
Friends of the Gilpin County Community Center’s “Heart of the Community” Fund supports residents in need with family punch cards for daily admissions, as well as scholarships for youth who need help to cover youth sports and classes.
