Dear Editor,
With 80+ thousand Unaffiliated voters in Boulder County (according to 2017 county records) it behooves all of us to vote for the right individual in lieu of a straight party ticket; there is a clear message within the high numbers of Unaffiliated voters in Boulder County – frustration!
I am a registered Unaffiliated (Independent voter). I am campaigning to vote for a new District 1 Boulder County Commissioner. I feel underrepresented since I live in a small mountain community. This happens on the plains as well, with small communities being ignored, feeling just like me without a voice; Niwot, on the plains below, is one example of many.
Cinda Kochen is the right choice to fill this role with new blood, ideas and balance. I would ask that you check out her entire platform of solutions, offering us a way out of the ‘same ole, same ole’. An example is, building down (underground) rather than forever higher, blocking the formerly majestic, signature view of the Flatirons from Boulder. Building down would also relieve much of the division of those who favor adjusting the height limits, ever higher, for growth. Cinda would like to preserve as much of Boulder’s charm as all the rest of us.
I ask you to check out Cinda’s expertise, experience and thoughts on such topics as affordable housing, transportation, antiquated building codes, sustainability, climate change, budgets, mental health, transportation, land and water, and so much more. Cinda would be a win/win for Boulder County Commissioner District 1 if you don’t limit yourself with partisan voting at the local level.
We should look at individuals for what they offer regardless of your affiliation; that’s one big reason why there are so many registered Unaffiliated voters; Independents look at individuals. Don’t handicap yourself with a party mentality. You have the opportunity to choose the best person for the job at the local level.
Cinda is the best choice for District 1 Boulder County Commissioner. Kochen2020.com
