Sara Van Valkenburgh, Peak to Peak. Way High Radio will soon be found in Nederland on 102.9 FM. Their yearly event, Hallowhen, has become the most popular event in the Way High Radio Presents Series and will help sustain the listener supported radio station throughout next year. With a silent auction and bands such as the Everest Family Band, Ben Hanna, The Rye Shooters, Parkin Lot, Pioneer Mother and Kyle Williams Band, as well as special guests Jeb Bows, from Gregory Allen Isakov and Brandi Carlile band, and Don Ambory, from The Gasoline Lolipops, Hallowhen III drew a large crowd that stayed strong into the morning hours, as snow began to fall.
Way High Radio is working hard to cover their next phase of expenses as they bring to Nederland their transmitter, which was inherited through the Colorado Community Radio Network when 93.1 KNED was closed down. They are still getting the site ready, but they say it should happen soon. New t-shirts and stickers will be circulating soon.
As always, 90.5 and 102.9 are operated from the Ghost Ship, commandeered by the spirits of Nathan the Mountain Man and Michigan Mike! Way High Radio says thank you for your continued support of Pure Community Radio and they look forward to their next event and serving a larger listening audience!
