By now, everyone knows we have a podcast in conjunction with the newspaper. We launched a new season in January, and this year, we want to try something different.
Listeners may have already noticed a change in the way we release our segments. Long before we launched the podcast, The Mountain-Ear was tagged as the “voice” of the Peak to Peak since 1977. For our podcast, we have decided to take that tagline and apply it directly to how we are approaching our 2024 season.
To begin, we no longer release just one show a week. Listening in now, you will notice a variety of shows published throughout the week, each by an individual storyteller. We combined an old-school radio show with a community newspaper and then presented it in a podcast. And it tripled our listeners in one month.
This is where all of you come in. We would like to invite anyone interested in hosting a show on the podcast to reach out and see if it might be a fit. The podcast has room for more hosts and more versatility and our mountain community wants to listen.
Some of the things we are looking for include; segments interviewing local business owners, highlights for upcoming events, narrators for audio news segments, and anyone looking to educate or share information pertaining to mountain living.
So, if you have always wanted to podcast, and would like a perfect place to start, reach out today! You can follow the QR Code printed below, or feel free to email us directly at info@themountainear.com.
