Dear Editor,
Please VOTE NO on Proposition 113! The number 13 is supposed to be bad luck, and if Proposition 113 passes, it will be the WORST of bad luck for Colorado!
In spring 2019, Colorado’s Governor signed legislation committing Colorado to the National Popular Vote compact. This means Colorado’s 9 electoral votes would be awarded to the Presidential candidate who wins the most votes nationwide, not necessarily to the candidate who wins Colorado. That’s wrong! Colorado’s votes for President should go to the candidate who gets the most votes in Colorado. This was done late into the night on one legislative session, without informing the Voters of Colorado that our State Legislature was even considering such a thing. So there were many, many of us around Colorado who spent hours and hours of our personal time to circulate and get a petition signed so that Colorado Voters would have the ability to vote our voice on this critical issue this November. I thank the hundreds of thousands of Coloradans who signed this petition so we can defeat this new law!
