Dear Editor,
I met Susan Berumen many years ago when she volunteered in her children’s classrooms. At 5 p.m. when most of the staff had left for the day, Susan would still be there helping. I’d ask, “Why are you still here?”, and Susan’s response was, “I always stay until the job is done”. So, when Susan Berumen chose to run for Gilpin County Commissioner, we knew immediately that she would have our strong support and our votes.
In her kind and humble manner, Susan will do everything it takes to get the job done for all of Gilpin County. Susan is knowledgeable about the budget, the needs of our children and residents, and maintaining our rural lifestyle. She has worked tirelessly to bring us the Clinica Family Health Center, help reopen the Community Center and keep our library financially self-sufficient. And most of all, she listens. Susan makes decisions based on the needs of the people regardless of her own opinion.
It is our hope that you will join us in voting for Susan Berumen as our next Commissioner for the Little Kingdom of Gilpin.
Respectfully Submitted,
Rhonda & Leonard Horwitz-Romano
Gilpin County
