Vote for Marchman

Dear Editor,

I’m increasingly frustrated with the idea that only wealthy business owners understand the economy and how to improve it, especially when it comes to candidates for public office. Middle and working-class people have been excluded from decision making for too long, harming workers, families, and kids. We need representatives who understand the struggles facing normal families, not just the interests of top donors. Janice Marchman is a middle-class mom and teacher who understands the struggles of managing a family budget as our cost of living rises.

Education is a priority for the next generation and our current representation dismissing it has only harmed our kids. Janice Marchman is a middle school math teacher, who knows first-hand how to help kids succeed. Before becoming a teacher, Janice was a Systems Engineer and Thompson School Board member. She understands, beyond simple talking points, what’s needed in schools at the administrative and classroom levels. Janice understands the importance of giving our kids a strong education to prepare them for the successful future they deserve.

This November, please join me in voting for Janice Marchman to be our next State Senator. It’s time to have someone who truly lives the values of our district.
