Dear Editor,
With the election right around the corner I would like to give my full support to April Nielsen for Gilpin County Assessor and ask you to vote for her.
In this position, I do not feel that party affiliation is important as the elected officials must follow the State Constitution and its Statutes regardless. It is more important to vote for the right person for the job. The next Assessor will have a heavy workload and long hours due to many Statute changes for next year’s re-valuation. Therefore, this person needs to be full of energy, upbeat, open-minded and have a positive can-do attitude. April possesses these attributes and would be a great addition to the county.
I know April Nielsen professionally and am very confident that she is the right person for the job. She knows first hand what she is stepping into and is excited to take it on. She has my full support, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would vote for April.
