Dear Editor,

Elections being the hot topic for the coming weeks, we are writing to place our support for April Nielsen for Gilpin County Assessor. As staff members of the Assessor’s office, we work with April and the Community Development office on a daily basis. April’s experience in that department has helped enhance her community awareness, and relationship building skills with property owners. She is familiar with and utilizes the same electronic data base and mapping system we use. She is well experienced with reading and understanding property issues and code regulations. She’s a very intelligent individual who learns very quickly and we have great confidence in her ability to manage the learning curve she will face.

We encourage voters to join us in our support for April as we know she will be a fantastic leader and the right person to be our County Assessor.
