Visitors peep art on Nederland streets

Posted

NEDERLAND - Leaf peepers crowded the streets over the weekend of Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, September 21, 2025, checking out Nederland businesses and packing into area restaurants. looking for something more than yellow leaves to ogle.

Luckily, The Mountain-Ear's Peak to Peak Studio Tour was on full display, as the streets and sidewalks of Nederland exploded with color as local artists and craftspeople highlighted their incredible talent.

It was also the NederDays of Art event, sponsored by the Nederland Downtown Development Authority and organized by the Nederland Public Art Committee. Both events put artists on display inside and outside of local businesses, from all over the Caribou Village Shopping Center to all the way down East 1st Street.

Tourists and locals alike grabbed their maps and navigated all over Nederland, walking from mural to mural, stopping off at One Brown Mouse, ART at Lolo's Atelier, Mountain Goat Tees, Brightwood Music, Spinning Silica, Kaleidoscope Gallery, and O'Neil Rocky Mountain Art, among others.

They also explored home studios up Caribou Road and in the Big Springs neighborhood, where local artists welcomed visitors into their personal sanctuaries where some of the most beautiful art is made.

A very special thanks to all those who toiled behind the scenes to bring both the Peak to Peak Studio Tour and the NederDays of Art events to fruition, and especially to all of the amazing talent that exists up here in the mountains: to those artists and craftspeople who pour their heart into their work and who are brave enough to display it for all to see.
