This Friday, August 26, 2022, Caribou Village Shopping Center will host their fourth “4th Friday” event of the year. The idea came to fruition in May when local businesses got together to brainstorm how to get people to visit the new businesses, as well as long standing businesses in the shopping center. Roz Bagtaz was the moving force behind the idea. The other businesses quickly jumped on board.
Each month different businesses host music, food, artists and more. Here is a lineup of some of the August highlights!
Very Nice Brewing Company will have live music with Dan Williams 6-8 p.m. and local potter Megan Gregg.
Augustina’s Winery will have snack foods and offer $4 glasses of wine from 3-7 p.m. as well as Rob Watson, a local leather works artist demonstrating his craft, from 4-7 p.m.
Brightwood Music will have string change demonstrations from 4-7 p.m. and will have rental instrument information to share with local families for the school programs.
The Mountain-Ear will have free 100 day subscriptions and hand out media kits.
The Carousel of Happiness will be hosting a scavenger hunt that will include all businesses that are open in the shopping center.
Tadasana Mountain Yoga will be offering a free all levels class from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. They will also be hosting Alicia Sparkman and her beautiful hand crafted malas and sun catchers.
Wild Bear will be open until 7 p.m. and will give prizes for the scavenger hunt. Meet and feed the turtles and salamanders.
Spinning Silica will have guest artists and free ceramic tile painting for all! Check in with Max and Bri about upcoming ceramic art classes!
Kaleidoscope Gallery will host a Wolfy Wolf painting demonstration. They will also host Angel’s Perfect Pasta and evi3lution jewelry design (yes, it’s spelled that way). They will be serving cookies, and will have treats for the kids. Mike Foster of Hands of Time is going to bring a panel of the Covered Bridge project to set up outside the Gallery for community involvement.
Stop in to Backcountry Pizza and Tres Gringos for appetizers before touring the shopping center.
