Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County. As published in the print version June 30, 2016. Last Thursday night, June 23, the Blue Sox were the second to last team in the Gilpin Adult Coed Softball Standings, with a win record of 2-4. The Champs were in second place with a 4-2 record.
The Sox took over, with everyone hitting and landing on a base or two and bringing their team members in. At the end of the game the Blue Sox won, 11-7 and the team celebrated beating the three-time Tonya Putnam Memorial Championship Trophy winners.
