Dear Editor,
I want to thank both papers for asking questions of the two District One Commissioner Candidates and publishing their answers.
The one thing I dislike most about elections is that people bad mouth candidates. Tell us what a horrible person they are. I do not want to hear bad mouthing of other people. I want to hear why you are supporting a candidate. What you feel their good qualities are and why you think we should vote for them. What are they going to do for our town, city, county, state and country?
In my opinion the two most important traits for a Gilpin County Commissioner to possess are “Listening Skills” and “Working well with other people – collaborating to accomplish what is best for Gilpin County”.
This is why I am supporting and voting for Jessica Kays – Commissioner for District One. She possesses these traits.
Remember – your vote counts!
Mary Lorenz, Gilpin County
