The historic Stage Stop in Rollinsville, notorious for its haunting past, has come alive this Halloween season with spine-tingling scares and ghostly apparitions, thanks to the creative minds of Spookygrass Productions. The Haunted Stage Stop, located at 60 Main Street, has been transformed into a macabre masterpiece, drawing thrill-seekers from near and far.

For those unfamiliar with its history, the Stage Stop has been a landmark of the community since the 19th century, serving as a pivotal point for travelers and locals alike. Over the years, whispers of supernatural occurrences and ghostly encounters have shrouded the building, adding to its mystique.

This year, Spookygrass Productions, a collective of ghost whisperers renowned for their eerie productions in authentically haunted locations, has taken the reins, turning the Stage Stop into a haunted house experience like no other. I had the chance to experience the terror firsthand last Saturday night during the nine o’clock slot.

A madman, shovel in hand, scraped the asphalt behind us, setting an ominous tone for the evening.

Upon entering, visitors are immediately thrust into a world of horror. With heart-pounding anticipation, my group and I ventured through the dimly lit corridors, encountering terrifying figures that seemed to materialize out of thin air.

Throughout the tour, we were pursued by relentless characters, including a menacing girl with scissors, body parts that came to life, a deranged jack-in-the-box, and a chainsaw-wielding maniac.

Despite the fear-induced adrenaline, visitors are reminded to abide by strict rules: no touching of actors or props, and absolutely no flailing. With the Stage Stop currently undergoing renovations, navigating the uneven ground and numerous staircases requires caution, and visitors are advised to use handrails. Cell phones are strictly prohibited, adding to the sense of vulnerability. A word of caution: a chainsaw massacre may await those brave enough to descend the stairs into the back yard.

For the ultimate thrill-seekers, “The Final Tour” offers a special segment that occurs just before 10 p.m., promising an experience that will haunt your dreams for nights to come.

Tickets for the Haunted Stage Stop can be purchased online in advance, ensuring your spot in this bone-chilling adventure. With Halloween just around the corner, this haunted house promises an unforgettable experience for all who dare to enter. Don’t miss out on the frights and delights that await at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville.
