Cool Week With A Bit Of Precipitation
By John McGinley
The week started out with a Thursday cold front that brought strong winds, turning to
wind and snow flurries on Friday. Our peak wind was 60mph but along Highway 93 winds were in the 80s. Thanks to CDOT for getting the Canyon Road opened so we could avoid this hazard. Another system on Monday started with early morning thunder, turning to moderate snow and gusty winds, then flurries all day. The flurries continued into Tuesday, but total snow amounts were only about an inch in Ned. Temperatures were below normal most of the week with a high Tuesday right at freezing. Lows went into the mid 20s.
