Upper High Shifts To West; Brings A Drier Week

Weak northwesterly flow aloft brought on by a shift of the upper level high to the west, kept wet monsoon air at bay. Residual moisture did manage to create some scattered showers and gave us one rainy day on Thursday with isolated showers floating around on Friday and Saturday. Dry conditions began Sunday and continued through Tuesday with temperatures soaring into the mid 80s.

Not much change for this week. Persistent northwest flow will swing a few weak disturbance that will trigger thunderstorms on some days, but nothing sustained and heavy rain unlikely. Highs will mostly be in the upper 70s with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Thursday-Jul 25: Partly cloudy with highs in the 70s after lows in the upper 40s. Good chance of showers.

Friday-Jul 26: Weak front will bring some upslope but not enough for widespread showers. Highs remaining in the 70s, lows in the upper 40s.

Saturday-Jul 27: Fair and a bit warmer. Highs in the upper 70s with lows near 50.

Sunday-Jul 28: Partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. .Highs in the mid 70s with lows in the upper 40s.

Monday-Jul 29: Cooler with highs in the low 70s with lows in the upper 40s, Isolated showers possible.

Tuesday-Jul 30: Warmer with highs in the upper70s with lows in the upper 40s.
