It has arrived: the unofficial “official” start of the summer season, and no one knows how to kickstart the celebrations like The Old Gallery (TOG) in Allenspark. Throughout Memorial Day weekend, TOG was the place to be.
The talented singer-songwriter, and Estes Park local, Brad Fitch, entertained the crowd with his wide range of musical stylings. To learn more about Brad Fitch, check out Jamie Lammers’ article “Music of the Mountains: Brad Fitch” in the May 16, 2024, edition of The Mountain-Ear. You can also hear Brad Fitch podcast in Season 4, Episode 32.
And what’s a Rocky Mountain spring celebration without flowers?! That’s right! Memorial Day weekend was also TOG’s annual hanging basket flower sale.
Flower baskets always sell fast and with good reason. Baskets are filled with colorful flowers, with sweet and comforting scents. Speaking of scents, TOG also offered Allenspark’s locals and visitors free hotdogs and hamburgers. Nothing says Memorial Day like a good grilling.

The gallery was filled with new artwork, offering a tasty delight for the eyes as guests enjoyed their grilled treats. The seasonal Rocky Mountain Conservancy store is also now open at the gallery.
The Memorial Day celebration continued through Monday morning with fresh donuts from Estes Park’s Donut Haus. If you missed The Old Gallery’s Memorial Day celebration, there’s plenty more to celebrate throughout the year.
From wine tasting to live music events and environmental talks to movie nights, there is always something fun to do at The Old Gallery!
The Old Gallery is located at 14863 Colorado Highway 7, Allenspark. You can find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheAPOldGallery or give them a call at 303-747-2906.
