The little log church in the heart of downtown Allenspark

The 50-year-old Allenspark Community Church began as a summer-only church, but the little non-denominational log church in the heart of downtown Allenspark now welcomes, year-round, all who believe that Christ is their Savior from sin and the pathway to everlasting life.

The mission of the church consists of “professing Christians and their children, voluntarily associated together to promote the greater ends of the Church, which are the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of people, the nurture and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship; the preservation of Biblical truth; the promotion of social righteousness and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.”

Allenspark Community Church participates in community interaction by donating to the Allenspark Community Cupboard food bank and Cross Roads in Estes Park. Part of the outreach includes making prayer quilts for residents who have suffered an illness or lost a spouse.

The church also collects personal care items and socks for the veteran center in Cheyenne, prepares meals for housebound residents, and distributes Christmas packages to area children.

For two years, Ralph Patrick has served as the church’s pastor. He grew up on a small farm in Northern Wisconsin, where his parents instilled in him the love of God, nature, and family, which he continues along with the Green Bay Packers and the Broncos.

You can join Pastor Ralph Patrick every Sunday at 10 a.m. for worship. Wednesday evening Bible Study is held via Zoom in the winter and the Fellowship Hall from June through August at 6:30 p.m.

On April 9 at 7 a.m., the church will host an Easter Sunrise Service, followed by a homemade pancake breakfast until 9:30 a.m. If attending, please bring a fruit or casserole dish to share. Regular service will follow the pancake breakfast.

The community is also invited to the Allenspark Community Church’s ice cream social in June or join church members in the community’s 4th of July parade, where members ride on a flatbed trailer singing hymns and patriotic songs while throwing candy to the spectators.

Get into the spirit of the holidays with the church’s Christmas in July program. This lifting event has occurred on the last Sunday in July for the past 30 years. The event offers snowbirds and the community the opportunity to participate in a service celebrating the birth of the Savior.

The Allenspark Community Church is located at 16 Washington Street, Allenspark. You can find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Allenspark-Community-Church or you can give them a call at 303-747-2821.
