We hope to raise a lot of FUN at this FUNDRAISER!

When was the last time you went to the circus? The Carousel of Happiness is bringing the circus to Nederland! Join us for a dazzling big top circus and carnival day on July 22 at Chipeta Park, a fundraiser to benefit the Carousel and help us keep spinning.

Over the years, the Carousel has been asked to bring more family friendly events and activities to Nederland. Ask and you shall receive! We’re excited to bring this inaugural event to Nederland, and partner with some local nonprofits to run carnival games. We’ve hired Circus Foundry LLC, a contemporary circus troupe, who will amaze the crowds with a family afternoon show, and an adult evening show. There will be multiple ways to join the day’s festivities: From noon to 4 p.m.: Carnival games will be set up around the park. Fun carnival concessions will be available, like cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs, and lemonade. Face painting, magician, juggler, and more! Carnival Tickets are $1 each, used to play games and purchase concessions.

At 2 p.m.: Under the Big Top at Chipeta Park, a 60-minute family friendly circus show titled “PLAY!” focused around childhood games turned circus. Includes: Juggling, Acrobatics, Jumprope, Hooping, Aerial, Clowning and more!

At 7 p.m.: Under the Big Top at Chipeta Park, an adult’s night out! At intermission of the evening show, we’ll host a live auction to help raise funds for the Carousel. See our event website to preview the auction items, including a vacation to France for four, a trip to Disney World for four, and some great local art commissioned exclusively for this event. The evening performance is a 90-minute adult-themed show titled “WORK!” about breaking free from the corporate world using circus. Includes: Chinese Pole, Aerial, Clowning, Acrobatics, Dance, Juggling, Hooping, Bullwhip, Rola Bola, and more. Snacks, drinks, and a bar will be available. Grab a VIP Ticket to the evening show for a front-row seat, two drinks, a charcuterie box, and a special opportunity to meet the cast after the show!
