Dear Editor,
A big thank you goes out to our county for making the DRIVE THROUGH FOOD DRIVE a success. When we work together we can get a lot accomplished.
The volunteers stationed outside receiving the generous donations had a beautiful early winter day to work in. The volunteers inside were busy organizing food and getting the pantry ready to prepare Thanksgiving boxes.
Boxes will be distributed November 22.
A shout out to the Gilpin County Democrats and Gilpin County Republicans for taking up the slack and providing dinner rolls and salad fixings for the boxes. I think we call that bipartisan.
And an extra special thank you to The Mountain-Ear and the Weekly Register-Call for all the advertising they did. They definitely helped to get the word out.
If you weren’t able to make it by Sunday, donations are always appreciated and can be dropped off at the food pantry.
One more big THANK YOU!!
Peace and Good Health to all,
Roxy Goss
