Thank you for a positive community meet and greet

Dear Editor,

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us at our recent Meet & Greet. Your time, tough questions, and civil discourse were invaluable as we continue working to earn your trust, strengthen our approach to safety and environmental stewardship, and build open, respectful relationships in the community.

We appreciate every resident, business owner, and local leader who took the time to attend. Your presence and engagement are what make these conversations meaningful.

We know we have a ways to go to rebuild trust, and we’re beyond grateful for the respect shown to our team. We look forward to more opportunities to listen, learn, and collaborate in the coming weeks.

We realize there are some in the community, particularly those with strong concerns, who were unable to attend. We sincerely invite anyone who wishes to meet with us—whether one-on-one or in small groups—to share ideas, discuss issues, and help shape a responsible path forward.

In the coming weeks, we will share a video of the event and launch CaribouPromise.com by May 1. The site is not yet live, but if you’d like to receive notifications about its launch and other updates, please fill out the form in the comments. We’ll make sure to keep you informed of our progress.

We are actively forming an independent advisory group that will include local businesses, residents, and community leaders with no financial ties to the mine, ensuring unbiased perspectives and accountability. Once CaribouPromise.com is launched, we will share more information about this group, how it will function, and how the broader community can stay engaged.

We also plan to address specific questions and comments raised at the Meet & Greet and during the open comment period. For comments submitted to the formal DRMS review process, our team is preparing responses that align with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DRMS) guidelines. For the questions submitted via index cards at the meet and greet, we have forwarded them to the appropriate team members and each one will be answered. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process.

We remain committed to ongoing dialogue. If you have additional questions or suggestions, please reach out to Morgan Saunders (McAllister) at morgan@acrgincorp.com. We are also requesting that the NedHeads Facebook group admins accept Morgan’s invite so she can serve as a resource for upcoming events and information about Cross-Caribou Mines. We believe her participation will encourage productive conversation.

Thank you again for sharing your time, thoughts, and concerns. Let’s keep the conversation going as we strive to be transparent, community-focused stewards of this historic resource.
