Dear Editor,
The Gilpin County Food Pantry is hosting a Holiday Food Drive on October 25, 2020, (weather permitting) at the Gilpin County Justice Center.
We will be doing this as a drive-through. Our wonderful masked volunteers will grab donations from your car. For information on Food Drive contact Roxy Goss at roxygoss25@gmail.com or 303-912-7493.
Since March 2020, the volume at the food pantry has risen over 600%. Anyone in Gilpin County or the Peak to Peak region can get a food box on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Here are a few ideas of items we can use: tuna, spaghetti noodles and sauce, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, butter, stuffing mix, chicken broth, butter, cream of mushroom soup, crispy onions, rolls, pie filling w/pie crust or frozen pies, canned corn, green beans, olives, pickles, salad dressing, laundry baskets or boxes, eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns frozen or other self-stable goods. Cash can be used for a food pantry or the wish list program for kids.
Thanks,
Roxy Goss
