Dear Editor,
This newly retired active person faced the new world of people at the Community Center. Pink and green open lobby greeted this new user. I enjoyed the swimming and exercise classes. But most of all I became a member of the Gilpin pottery society. This group was filled with creative openhearted people. Yes, we struggled with a temperamental kiln, clay dust and the mysteries of glazes. Peace and friendship existed in the pottery space. What did you enjoy there? Let’s figure out a way to refinance the Gilpin County Community Center.
Regards,
Donna J Phillips
