Dear Editor,
I support Susan Berumen for Gilpin County Commissioner for the following reasons: She is a smart, reasonable, and calm person who can handle complex issues and listens well to all sides before forming an opinion or recommending action.
She is always open to answering questions about her positions on issues and does not avoid public forums and newspaper interviews on her candidacy.
She takes public service seriously and believes in representing all her constituency. She has proven herself both as a dedicated government employee and in her position on the Gilpin Library Board of Trustees (where I have had the honor of serving under her wise leadership).
I have no concerns about her ability to handle the responsibilities of Gilpin County Commissioner and would look forward to her bringing her wise voice to a position serving all the county residents.
Sincerely,
Ruth Arnold
Gilpin County
