There's one thing I look forward to every single year. “What is this,” you might ask? It’s the annual Sugarloaf Garage Sale!
Every year on Memorial Day weekend the Sugarloaf Fire Department puts on a sale. It has thousands of items. They have antique specialty items, clothes, bags, blankets, pillows, tools, books, furniture, shoes, sports, bikes, games, kids toys, and my personal favorite, PLANTS!
According to Diana Costello, Friends of Sugarloaf Fire Department, “Sugarloaf Fire Protection District’s annual Memorial Day weekend garage sale took in $50,134 in gross sales last weekend. Thank you to all who donated items, came to shop, and to those whose many hours of labor made the sale a rousing success. All proceeds go to support the Sugarloaf fire department.” Over 500 people shopped during the weekend.
