At the April 18 Gilpin County School Board meeting artists Asly Kima and Milo Prout were recognized as the March and April Artists of the Month. Third grade student Asly Kima shared her Henri Rousseau-inspired jungle artwork, while seventh grader Milo Prout shared his drawing of a pier based on his studies of surrealistic techniques and optical illusions.
Elementary Technology teacher Mr. Linnehan and two of his fifth grade students, Max and Ella shared how they created their 3-D printed mythical creatures by digitally drawing them in a computer program called Tinkercad.
