BOULDER COUNTY — On Monday morning, January 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., a call was received of a structure fire at the 10400 block of State Highway 7 in Allenspark, resulting in a joint response from Boulder County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Allenspark Fire Protection District, Lefthand Fire Protection District, Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Squad, Estes Valley Fire Protection District and Estes Park Health Paramedics.
The initial call reported a fire being spotted under the porch of the residence, with smoke billowing through the inside of the home. Though the home was fully on fire by the time BCSO deputies arrived, all family members and pets had safety evacuated the residence without any injuries.
According to the press release from BCSO, high winds were definitely a factor regarding the rapid spread of the fire. Small spot fires were found around the initial fire site, but were quickly extinguished by first responders, who used fire tenders to shuttle water to the scene due to limited water being available in the area.
The cause and origin of the fire has yet to be reported as the matter is still under investigation. The BCSO case number is 26-00347.
