Marc Tonglen, Nederland. With the hopes of supporting local musicians while garnering support for important local community initiatives, Stone Cottage Studios in Boulder County has launched the Artist Sessions: a high-quality music series that creates a dynamic viewing and listening experience for concert-goers to enjoy in their own homes.
Founded and launched in May 2019 in Boulder Colorado, the Stone Cottage Studios is a Music Discovery Platform in support and promotion of local and visiting musicians. Composed of musicians, songwriters, audio engineers and filmmakers, the Stone Cottage team is passionate about providing the best pro-audio recording and cinematic video production in an authentic, unique and inspirational studio setting. Best known for the Artist Sessions, an interview based live studio performance, the team at Stone Cottage encourages artists to tell their stories, connect with fans and play their tunes. The team also assists the musicians with marketing and visibility through the distribution of the full 30-minute session across available media channels.
As studio owner Jamie Maynard elaborates, “I’ve been a music fan for many generations. This came up as a very simple idea: to develop an inspiring space for musicians to perform during a time when the entertainment industry has all but shut down. The idea is to create a platform for them to be seen and understood by being able to live-stream directly to their fans from a creative and inspiring space. The musicians then walk out with a beautiful cinematic presentation of the performance along with a reciprocated feeling of being heard and understood during a time when there is a lack of band to fan interaction. I suppose our motto for the musicians is to Be seen, Be Heard, Be Understood.”

Recent Artist Sessions at Stone Cottage include LVDY, Banshee Tree and Sarah Slaton and they have a plethora of great music lined up for the months to come. Some of these upcoming acts include Morning Bear, Megan Burtt, Dave Tamkin & Co. Current sponsors include Breckenridge Distillery, Montaya Distillery and Henriksen Amplifiers. As studio manager Dave Tamkin elaborates, “It’s been really nice partnering with these sponsors and co-supporting their green initiatives. We highlight and support our sponsors within the context of our high- quality production. Our aim is to help them expand their brand while they help us expand our reach as well. It’s nice to work within our local communities to get behind musicians in a time of need. If any local business is interested in being a sponsor, please do not hesitate to reach out.”
