Good afternoon,
It has come to my attention that a rumor is floating around in the Sheriff’s Office and in our community that I will not be able to complete my 4-year term as Sheriff due to my health issues. As many know, I did have some health issues occur last year. However, all these issues are in the rear-view mirror and I am doing just fine. I have no intentions of leaving office before my term is completed in 2027.
I am very honored to continue serving this great community as your Sheriff, and don’t take this privilege lightly, so I want to emphatically dispel this rumor. I respectfully request I be afforded the courtesy and opportunity to speak with you directly if you have any questions. The spreading of false rumors is counterproductive for the Sheriff’s Office, and our community.
Thank you,
Sheriff Kevin Armstrong
Gilpin County
