BLACK HAWK - Open only since last November, The Ted Garcia Fine Art Gallery in Black Hawk has, it says, a simple mission: art for everyone—beautiful, accessible, and affordable.
The gallery is a single-owner space offering oil paintings in a range of art styles and subject matter. Garcia tells us, “Whether you’re a local or just passing through this mountain town with a golden past, this one-man gallery is your new hidden gem.”
The artist recently launched his First Friday events: casual evenings with light snacks and drinks and live painting demonstrations. He calls it “a great way to experience art, connect with the local community, and soak up a bit of mountain‑town charm.”
Garcia will soon be launching Plein Air and studio painting classes; meanwhile the gallery offers a selection of basic art supplies for budding—or experienced—painters.
Preview his work at his website, www.tedgarcia.com, or go to www.tedgarciafineart.com to buy one of his prints. He’s also on Instagram @tgfineart, and Facebook. The gallery is at 327 Gregory Street, Black Hawk.
