Sober Souls hosts Motorcycle Rodeo: On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Sober Souls Motorcycle group held a Motorcycle Rodeo at the Gilpin Fairgrounds. Riders rode their motorcycles through the deep sand for a barrel racing type event, had a hanging hot dog event where riders tried to eat a hot dog hanging on a string. Then they played a rousing round of pole in a hole, similar to the flag race of equine rode events. According to their website, “The purpose of Sober Souls M.C. is to encourage and conduct, among motorcyclists, sobriety, spirituality, fellowship and service work, putting the welfare of the group above self-interest, and helping others, individually and as a motorcycle club.” To find out more, check out their website at https://www.sobersoulsmc.com/[/caption]
