On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. a SANY SY265C excavator began tearing down Snyder’s Garage. It is a beloved piece of Nederland history that, after years of neglect and a long remediation process to detoxify the site, will eventually transition from a vacant, over 100-year-old property to a brand new arcade, which the owner, Christian Vanek, states will reuse salvaged components of the historic building.
