Barbara Lawlor, Nederland. The Nederland Alpine Ski team competed at the Beaver Creek giant slalom meet last Friday and are holding their own placing in the top five.
The Nederland boys took third place out of 13 teams with Evergreen and Battle Mountain coming in first and second. All skiers with a place of 48 or under qualified for state. Panther skiers who are heading to Aspen for the championships are: Quin Kuechenmeister, Trig Campbell, Jacob Scheiffler, Cole Skillbred, Roland Bailey, Decla Stone-Murphy, Scout Edmondson and Adler Mueller.
